My highschool adventures 001

"Wongi, you're going to miss your classmates when you graduate". I never took that line seriously and guess what.. I still don't! The authorities in my high school were very strict and rigid and as such, we never really exercised our power as students or school prefects. We were supposed to exercise power too, but no, it was the direct opposite. I'd be sharing some highschool experiences with y'all. I hope you enjoy them.

Many nights ago, there was a power shortage in our hostel and it was time for our night prep(night reading). Normally, we'd probably put on our lamps till the lights came back on but this night was different. Our boarding mistress told all of us to line up outside and prepare to move to class block to read. No! Why!?. Most of us didn't even have our night bath and we barely had dinner.

We obeyed the woman and lined up outside the hostel and she paroled us to the class block where boys read. Well, the boys were moved away to the far end so that no form of contact would be made.

Thirty minutes passed, and our tommys started grumbling and singing. We couldn't read anymore. We were about five hungry people. We had food but it was inside the hostel and it was inaccessible. It was prep time, who are you to tell your boarding mistress that you want to go and eat?. We sat there, looking for excuses to tell the woman and we eventually came up with one.

We told one of our friend to act as if she is having an asthma attack and that she needed her inhaler and two others would follow her as supporters to go and get the inhaler from the hostel and I plan went on well until the boarding mistress decided to follow us, why was she doing this one ? She wasn't needed na!. As we were on our way, the school's principal emerged from nowhere and ordered us to halt, our hearts were in our mouth. Inside my head I was like, "Joyce please form more asthma". The principal asked some questions and we answered them reasonably and we were granted entry into the hostel.

We got into our room. "Joyce, carry your inhaler, let's go back". That was the beginning of the problem o. Inhaler was not available.lol. Asthma seized by force, there was none in the first place. We on the other hand carried the food and put it into a school bag with some books and told the woman that the bag was with books only. Joyce was still looking for her so called inhaler o..omor.. I couldn't hold my laughter. Joyce finally maneuvered as a smart child and brought out an empty container from somewhere after scattering her whole box. We left the hostel smiling.

Pexel

Our mission was accomplished, food to our tommys and we weren't in any form of trouble. After eating, we started relating our story to the other two girls that missed the adventure and we had a good laugh.
The you for reading☺️

Well, school life is most times like that, they strip you off any authority so you'll not have a say or question their authority. It almost made me hate school because it felt like we were puppets dancing to someone else's tune.

Haha, I'm sure y'all were already labeling your boarding mistress a witch. Like who does that? 😂

I'm trying to picture this scene and how nervous y'all were. I'm also wondering what would have happened if she actually started the asthma attack and the principal took it too serious and probably rushed her to the hospital only to find out.......hehe

High school life is one of the best moments of our lives, I really miss it and I'm glad you decided to share your experiences with us.

we had a lot of adventures with our boarding mistress, she was just becoming a pen in the ass like most other boarding mistresses.

Mehn! We were shaking. When the principal was asking the questions, like, if we faultered, it would have been either a suspension or hard labour.

I'm glad you decided to share your experiences with us.

I'm glad you had the patience to stop by and read. Thank you😊
