Love And Business

Naturally many feel inclined to go into businesses with their partners because of the love and trust that comes with being in a relationship but then is that enough to keep both the relationship and business going? For some things go pretty smooth and we have seen many examples of such couples which many now tag power couples but not many have been equally lucky. Going into a business requires not just trust and that is why it is important that before you go into one with your partner, you both weigh the pros and cons to determine if your relationship can handle it because what works for A might not work for D, G and Z.

The pros of being in a relationship with your partner are so many which include; spending a lot of time on projects together, flexibility, understanding each other's strength and weaknesses, unified front as well as trust. This means a business trip can also become a romantic getaway when deals are closed, you get to experience the pain and joys of business together which will help you bond better. There is trust in the equation meaning you don't have to worry about being cheated of your time, effort or investment which creates a more relaxed feeling in the business. Doing business together means you both understand the need for the other to be able to do other things apart from the business without having to be criticized or cheated out on deals.

There are lesser arguments when it comes to decision making because you both have similar opinion on what business should be and the goals of the business unlike working with a stranger. You project a unified front against obstacles that may stand in the way of your business because working with people you love has been found to boost morale due to the warmth and connection you both feel which helps you both perform better. Usually building a business with your partner can seem like a fairy tale until the cons start to play with you both.

For example running a business with your partner can take away the joy you derive from missing each other. Having to be in each other faces can be a very frustrating experience for many which may blur the traits that made you fall in love your partner and that's because by seeing these characters, features and traits you tend to take them for granted and they interest you less. For others the line between relationship and business may start to blur and make things messy, imagine trying to review a contract you think is urgent and your partner is making moves at you, of course there will be arguments about priorities and we know what happens next. Some partners get so engrossed in their business that they forget they are in a relationship with their partner and with very little time spend together without work encroaching in , the relationship might start to feel like another item on the schedule.

Ultimately before getting into a business with your partner it is important that you both weigh your options because it would be sad if you happen to severe ties as a result of the business and still have to work together. To prevent such from happening, you both need to make agreements on certain aspects of the relationship and business so as to protect them from each other .
