Cake & Bread Delivery From Japanese Bakery - Azuki

Hi Everyone,

Lockdown still happening so the only way to get a craving fix is to order delivery. Unfortunately, many places prefer to get receive a bigger order to make the delivery worth while so we normally try order a bit more. Azuki is only a short drive from my place but yet it seems so far. They only delivery once a week on a Thursday so we ordered just before their cutover delivery schedule. We were aiming mainly for the bread but did order some cakes for the kids and myself because we love a special treat. All cakes were in a cakebox and breads are in seperate paper trays or bags which was nicely packed, very Japanese style. Even though we ordered over $100, there was a delivery charge but that was still ok to get our craving fix.

We ordered lots of stuff which will keep us going for at least 4 days. Check out what we ordered below. We love the beef curry pan and kimchi sausage rolls but a few of everything since we can't go out anyways so this will at least get our breakfast and afternoon tea sorted each day. We did order extra as we shared it with a neighbour to save on post and everyone gets a treat.

Lets show you the cakes - my youngest loves cakes so we got 4 types. Strawberry layered cake, yuzu cheeze cake, uji matcha roll and chestnut mont blanc. Green tea was my kid's favourite and the strawberry was their least but its mine so nobody fights over these cakes. They haven't tried chestnut before and thought it taste a bit 'funny' but they loved the green tea cake bit at the bottom. The cakes here are so fluffy just like in Japan but just a bit more pricey.

The bread is still the clear winner in our books. We love the kimchi pork sausage roll, melon pan and curry beef pan. The melon pan is like a sweeter, fuller version of the Hong Kong bakery pineapple bun and the bread itself of the curry beef pan was just delicious! We also ordered the yuzu donut and other goodies but they were ok, nothing to be excited about. The best of the best have to be the kimchi pork sausage roll. The subtle kimchi is really delicious paired with the pork mince although my eldest thought it was too spicy but the younger kid thought it was ok (I guess one has a higher chilli tolerant). I am so glad we got our Japanese bakery fix although not a cheap one. Once lockdown is open, we will have to go again and pick what we wanted the most rather than trying to make up the total for a delivery.
