No strings Attached!!!

'Hey, hey! young lady, wait up, you can't drive that car, you're gonna die if you dare. Hey! Let me help you', Mike yelled at the arrogant young woman who had purposefully spilled a drink on him a few minutes back at the restaurant because he had walked up to her to say hi.

'I don't need your help young man! Now get the hell outta my way way else I call the cops on you and prolly file a case of rape'. Nuella said in her drunken state.

'Arrrghhh! You are super annoying and arrogant even in your clumsy state. I wonder what you'll be like in your right senses'.

Mike snatched the car keys from her hands, opened the door and made her sit at the back seat while he moved over to the driver's seat, ignited the engine and zoomed off to his house.

She had fallen asleep in the car like a log of wood so he couldn't get to know her house address to take her home so he had to take her to his house.

The sun creeped in through the slightly opened blinds and shone on her beautiful yet arrogant and bossy face.

'Oh! She's even CEO of "Nuellas designers", Why wouldn't she be arrogant when she's got all the money in the world', Mike said as he put her card down.

He stared at her face and couldn't help but shake his head and chuckled a little.

'She has a light brain yet she went to drink herself to stupor,' Mike murmured to himself while walking out of the room where she lay so he doesn't wake the tigress.

And just as he was about to twist the door handle, Nuella opened her eyes and stopped him right in his tracks. A cup of coffee had been placed by the bed for her so it would help her get to her feet in no time.

She looked at the man in front of her and then under the duvet to which she was covered and screamed at the top of her voice. She was half naked and yet again the tigress was ready to pounce on its prey.

'Hey, hey! Hold on, I'm gonna explain'! Mike said between breaths. 'I promise I didn't do anything, it's just that you threw up the whole night and I just had to be a gentleman and clean you up and that's how your clothes were taken off but trust me I wasn't looking at you'. Mike grinned a little.

'Oh Jesus!! Get out just get out! I didn't send you to show any kindness to me. I need clothes to put on this instant' Nuella yelled at the top of her voice.

'Who does this lady think she is? Does she mean she could just shout at me the way she wants and whenever she wants? Damn it! This girl lacks home ethics'. Mike got his shirt and took them to her so at least she could manage that.

Nuella breathed in and out the moment she stepped out of the bathroom. She saw the clothes he had kept for her and smiled a little. She noticed he didn't do anything to her and thought for a while where he fell from. Maybe he fell from the sky she thought because no man wouldn't want to take advantage after having a drunk woman in his possession.

She snapped out of her thoughts immediately and wore the clothes. Packed her bags and took off without saying goodbye. 'At least say thank you' Mike said out loud the moment Nuella opened her car door. She traced the voice and looked up at the good Samaritan who had just made her narrowly escape death.

'You should have taken advantage of me as a reward for your kindness'. She slammed the car door after herself and drove out of the already opened gate. 'Jeez! If all women were like this one, this world would be one hell of a place' Mike muttered.

Nuella got to her house and slumped on the couch giving a recount of her experience and couldn't help but smile. She had picked up Mike's business card from his house and put it in her bag. She took it out and just stared at it and finally dropped it on her table.

Months passed and one fateful day, when Nuella was about to leave the house she found the card, picked it up and dashed out. When she was finally relaxed in her office, she dialed the number and he picked immediately.

Mike recognized the voice and funny enough he had her contact saved. He had been expecting her call for so long now. He knew she had picked up the card because he deliberately placed it in the room she slept the day she was drunk.
They spoke for a while and Nuella made a move inviting him over for dinner at her place.

He arrived at her house looking all polished. She breathed in and almost broke down because the memories of Dan flashed through her mind as she looked at this demigod walking towards her.
She was a very classy lady so she comported herself and ushered him to the dining table.

There at the dinner table, Mike threw a question
'Why did you drink yourself to stupor the other day? Last time I checked, when a woman drinks that much, she must have been going through a lot, especially in the case of a light brain bird like you'.

Nuella was shy and put her face down. She wasn't ready to retell her past; she wanted to do away with love because it only favored some people and dealt badly with some.

She began her narration.

'Umm, all you should know is I got into a no strings relationship but along the line I fell for my partner and thought he loved me too because he went out of his way for me, made me feel loved and more so I thought we were now a couple not until that night.

I went to his apartment to visit him because I was lonely and really missed him. I gave him my attention, respect and everything a man needed from a woman but I found him drowned in the arms of another woman.

I couldn't stand it, I knew he didn't love me the way I did love him, it was a no strings attached thing so I really don't blame him. I left out of annoyance and went straight to the bar where you met me. That's why I poured my drink on you because you look like him and also I didn't want to talk with any man'.

Mike felt her pain as he listened with so much interest and then when she was done he spoke.
'It's a shame though but accept my condolences'.

Nuella laughed so loud while wiping the little tear that had formed in her eyes. "I'm fine now okay"!
"Maybe you could also do a no strings attached relationship with me too don't you think so"? Mike said with eyes open wide.

'You better watch what you're asking for Mikey! You may not know what kind of journey you're about to embark on', Nuella said with a grin.

'My seat belts are fastened and I'm set for the ride if my life" Mike responded as they both laughed so hard that they were almost on the floor and dinner continued…..
