Economic frustration in Nigeria; women should be given a chance.

Governments these days have been refusing to do their duty as a government.
Governments elected into power seats were elected to aid the need of its subject.

Before such a government was put in place, the people had faith in his tenure and the conviction that things would get better but here in Nigeria, the reverse is the case.

The governments have become selfish and self centered thinking only of holding down resources due to greed and storing up treasures for their generations to come leaving the economic state of the nation at jeopardy.

Every single day, citizens wake up to more hardship than it was the previous day. What is more alarming is the rapid increase in the price of gas which both old and young use on a daily basis.

Some old people who aren't financially buoyant have resorted to the use of coal for cooking as they can't cope with the daily increase in just a kilogram.

The government is really doing nothing about this as he says his hands are tied after giving the citizens hopeless assurance.

All this happening made me resort to thinking about the woman. The man has been in power for a very long time now and nothing seems to be changing, rather it becomes worse as the days go by.

Why can't a woman be given the chance to rule?

With an illustration, a woman is a home keeper who manages the affairs of a home and runs it perfectly making sure every member of her household eats to their satisfaction.

If a woman runs a company, just have it in mind that the company would not in any way experience bankruptcy except on rare occasions.

Women are good at so many things and I think can change the economic state of a country like Nigeria where the men have gone to sleep.

It's high time women should be given a chance.

Things are really indeed hard, I've been struggling with internet connection since evening and I just managed to post just now.
I went to get something to eat too and the price just keeps getting higher, it's alarming and as well tiring. The government we put all our trust in is only concerned with Ghana must go bags and fixed accounts while the masses are left to suffer. Sometimes I just wish I was in another country, but then there's no place like home, this country is gifted with a lot of amazing resources and human intellect. It's only painful to see them underutilized.

I really admire your courage, I might as well vote for you if you opt to contest for president. Hopefully this woman Would have the voice and will power to turn around the situation of this country for good.

Thanks for sharing dear

I beg to disagree.

While I totally support more active participation of women in politics, I do not believe that electing a woman has our president will magically make all of our problems disappear.

I believe in electing the right person for the job. We shouldn't vote based on factors like sex, religion, ethnicity and the likes - that's what got us where we are now.

If it happens that a woman(who I deem capable) contests for an election, I'd gladly vote for her. It won't be because of her gender, but because of what I think she can bring to the table.

But you're right about one thing though - Nigeria's administration does need fresh sets of hands. Capable ones.

We shouldn't vote based on factors like sex,

So then why do you beg to disagree with a woman contesting as a president or governor?

I believe in electing the right person for the job.

How many right persons have you voted so far that has changed anything so far?

@teknon I think you're being sentimental about this matter.

The fact that I have a differing view from yours doesn't warrant the mildly aggresive reply you gave.

I'm actually not being aggressive. There's a difference with aggression and curiosity. So I asked my question. Sorry if you took it the wrong way.

Oh, I'm also sorry I misinterpreted.

What I was just trying to say is that the solution to Nigeria's problems transcends just introducing fresh sets of hands. The structures which this country was built on need to be reorganized.

I also hope we get to see a female in charge of the aso rock.

And btw, @teknon are you a "sir" or "ma"?

Alright. Nice to meet you ma. 😁

My name is Monioluwa.
My discord handle is also, you guessed right, Monioluwa.

You seem like an interesting person, I hope we'll get to know each other better.

I do wish we'd met under a much better circumstance tho. 😅

And I hope you're actively participating in politics in your area. You might just be the change we need.
