A perfect catch (customer oriented).

Before I start let me just give you a little hint of how far my day has been. I woke up stressed, don't really know why but I feel sick. I really don't know my diagnosis but I wanted to check in on my doctor to know what's wrong with me and then I was asked by my boyfriend not to, which brought about a little fight between us. He knows what he did and has his reasons for asking me not to see the doctor. I actually left the house this morning pissed off. You won't blame me but I hate it when everytime I seek his permission to do something he ends up giving me a contrary response. I'd still see my doctor whether he likes it or not.

Okay! I was out in the early hours of the morning to get cereal in a nearby superstore. Still in my angry state I walked in, went straight to the attendant available at that moment and asked her where I could find what I was looking for.
Firstly this lady amazed me by smiling at me. Wow! I looked at her, asked her what actually made her smile, all this was done with a straight face. And again she responded with a compliment saying;
"You look pretty this morning ma'am, how may I be of help".
Everything in me melted,my anger disappeared, and I felt this inner peace as if I was poured a very chilled water.
I responded like someone that was hypnotized and that's it. Till I left the store that morning I was speechless and happy. All this shocked me because of a reason I'd still tell you.
I have been to different stores of this nature with annoyance on different occasions but never for once had any attendant gotten my attention the way this girl did today. It's either they add to my annoyance or they also keep straight faces too. Within me I'm always like maybe in their minds they may be saying;
"Who's she, why is she looking pissed, she shouldn't add her problems to mine because everyone carries one problem or the other too etc" not knowing that maybe at such a point in time I may be needing a shoulder to cry on.

I figured these three things out from my experience so far which I listed here:

Attitude:
A friendly attitude to a customer or client is super sweet. Whether the customer is happy, yelling or cocky, a welcoming attitude would determine if the customer would love to visit your business premises another time.

A smile, oh! That smile she gave! I can't forget it in a hurry. A smile is also essential, it can take away anger and generate peace in the mind of the customer.

Addressing:
How do you address the people that come to do business with you? This is also important. People love to be addressed properly. With an appropriate address, OMG! The person would fall in love with you and want to bank with you forever lol.

These have been my experiences so far. I really promised myself to keep shopping in that superstore till I really don't know when lol.
If I ever run any organization tomorrow, I'll make sure I teach my workers these simple steps to a perfect customer catch.
