A leader to the moon and back
Hurray! I'm kinda feeling super excited to at least be amongst the super contestants in Ladies of Hive thanks to @kemmyb for the invite I really appreciate.
Are you a leader person or a follower and why do you think that is?
I'm more of a leader person than a follower though I used to be a follower until I set pace for myself and became a leader.
Everyone who is a leader today was once a follower example Aristotle was once a follower of Plato but became a leader because he made a good path for himself to becoming a leader.
Being a leader is not easy and has a lot of responsibility attached to it and before anyone is considered a leader, the person has to be ready to accept all the odds of taking the responsibility.
Why do I think this is?
To my own understanding, a leader is someone who directs people.
Family:
In my house, I have two older siblings and they're all married which means they moved out to their personal homes.
I and my two younger brothers remain in the house and when my parents are out, I look after them.
I make sure that I see to all their needs, they are safe, happy and follow the right path till my parents are home. If any of them gets in danger, my parents would blame me because I was seen fit to keep an eye on them.
My leadership started from my family!
Church:
A leader is made by attitude, character and potential. I was seen fit for the task and so was chosen to lead a crowd.
Due to my activity and religious actions, I was asked by the local pastor to join and also lead the choir group.
I have this enthusiasm for singing and I'm also hyper active when it comes to me doing things whether religious, social or educational.
I make sure that I do all I should do well and appropriately and want anyone that follows me to follow suit.
I hate dulling and never appreciate anyone to dull around. Smartness is my nickname and any one that knows me knows me for just that and that's the major reason I was asked by the pastor to be the head choir.
School:
In school I'm also up and out for activities, I teach my course mates and help them where need be. They come to me for many things and I have no option but to help them out.
I was actually elected into office as a class rep by my colleague without my consent which I had to accept because they saw in me the potential of a leader.
When I lead people, I give them my best and also expect their best. I expect them to get better than I am. It's a thing of joy to see your follower becoming one of the best people in the society and giving credits to 'you' the leader. This is my goal and objective of being a good leader.
A good leader leaves good footprints and not scars.

This is a brilliant quote. I agree that leadership comes with great responsibilities. Whatever reputation or image a group has, good or bad, is on the leader. If the group fails, the leader is seen as the cause and if a group succeeds, the honour goes to the leader.

It's nice to know that you are doing your part well to look for your younger siblings. You had shown your responsibility on how to handle situations like that. You are truly amazing and I want you to know that.
OMG! I'm really blushing'right now, thanks a lot dear. My parents actually trained me to be a leader and so, I had to take up the responsibility.

This is so True, all leaders were once a follower and hopefully they carry with them the experience and best tips to share.
A true leader knows how to use every persons potential to the fullest and encurage them.
Not always easy but to listen and really see People, that is the key.
