Introduction

It has been some time since I last wrote an 'Account Growth' post. The purpose of this post is to motivate new users and returning users that with consistent authoring, commenting, curating, powering up and repeating your wallet balance could experience solid growth. I share the image below of my Hive Power Account Growth as evidence that is really does work. My account growth in Hive Power over the seven days, from 10/5/2021 - 17/5/2021, went from 16,520 HP to 16,640 HP. Although, it is only 120 HP, it is Hive Power that I did not have 7 days ago that will compound and grow.

Keep it Simple!

I have set myself a very simple and repeatable process to follow each and every single day. It is not difficult to remember and it is very maintainable. I created this process to ensure that I do not burn myself out and get too lost in the world of crypto and HIVE for hours on end. I have listed out the minimum daily steps of my process below:

My Repeatable Process

1. Author one post everyday
2. Comment on two posts everyday
3. Curate three posts everyday
4. Power up everyday
5. Repeat

The steps are so straight-forward and simple that I do not even really need to explain them much further, but I will anyway.

1. Author one post everyday

As hard as this sometimes seems, I highly recommend that you form an unshakeable habit of writing and publishing a post everyday. Even when you are tired and feel like you cannot be bothered.

Tonight as an example is my daugther's birthday, we have finished all the festivities and everyone else has gone to bed. I am exhausted and my pillow is crying out to me. Instead of taking the easy option, I decided to stick to my repeatable process and write my post for the day.

To be honest with you, this is not even the post that I had planned for today, but I thought it was a very appropriate post to write.

Managing your time is very important, as we are all time poor. I have found that writing two or three posts in an evening when you have a bit more time on your hands, then scheduling those posts is a great time saver and makes sticking to the process much easier. That is likely what I will plan to do for tomorrow night.

2. Comment two posts everyday

This step is all about engagement. Be engaged on HIVE and the other Tribes. Authoring your own content is very important, but stopping by and appreciating others people's content with a comment is just as important.

I have not set myself an onerous engagement goal and most days I far exceed this goal by commenting on a lot more than two posts. The reason I have the goal, is so that my brain reminds me to engage with the community and not just focus on my own posts.

Amazing things start to happen to your account when you have regular and authentic engagement. People start following you, people start commenting on your posts and best of all you start getting regular upvotes and the odd whale that swims by to see what all the fuss is about.

3. Curate three posts everyday

I am fast coming to realise that curation is extremely important for your account growth and has huge upside potential.

As my account value has grown, so to has my voting power. I have even canceled a few of my HP delegations to other accounts, because I want my voting power back. I want my vote to count for more and I want to use it and be in control of my votes myself.

The image below shows my upcoming potential curation rewards and my curation efficiency. I am not writing this post to tell you how to curate, what content to curate or whether you should do it manually or via a curation trail, all I want to tell you is that curation is very powerful. The larger your account becomes and if you remain consistent everyday, you will be amazed at how much of your account growth is attributable to your curation efforts.

4. Power up everday

Just do it, everyday. Do not let your rewards sit unclaimed for days, because if they are unclaimed they are not working for you. You can even set up your account so that your rewards are claimed automatically. Once you have claimed your rewards Power Up.

As mentioned above, as you power up, your vote value increases. As your vote value increases, your influence on the platform increases. As your influence increases, your visibility to others increases. As your visibility to others increases, so to does your following and upvote potential.

Success breeds success!

5. Repeat

Start back at number 1 tomorrow, work your way through 2, 3 and 4, then do it all again the next day and the next day.

Conclusion

In closing, I would just like to say that my process my not be the best process or most profitable process out there, but it is simple and repeatable. My life is extremely busy at that moment, so this process is exactly what I need to stay focused and keep my momentum.

It comes down to muscle memory. You hear about sports men and women that practice for hours on end, until they reach a point where their craft just becomes second nature to them, this is known as muscle memory. I am forming my own muscle memory for my account growth. I am practicing the same tasks every day for a sustained period of time, so that it gets totally ingrained in my being and becomes second nature to me.

Hopefully one day in the future I will wake up, sit down at my computer, ready to follow my process and then realise that my account growth has finally made me a crypto millionaire. That feels like a dream at the moment, but dreams do become reality, so I will just keep at it.
