The badminton Malaysia Open 2021 was officially postponed. Responding to this, PBSI said it would shift preparations to the 2021 Olympics. Malaysia Open was supposed to be the final series of preparations for the Olympics. The tournament with the Super 750 level will be held on May 25-30.

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) announced the certainty for the delay in its release on Friday (7/5/2021), afternoon. The COVID-19 pandemic is yet another reason for the delay.
