I thought the sport was more real when they had dudes out there spitting massive clods of baccy into buckets on the sidelines. I knew guys that did "dip" in high school and while I never took to it, I thought it was kind of funny that if you played baseball you dipped. No other sport was like this. It must be the amount of sitting around that you do in baseball, I can't imagine that really working out on the basketball court.

Very true, it was engrained and likely still is engrained with baseball for sure. Yeah that would definitely be a scene if basketball guys were dipping in doors and then tossing an alley oop hahaha. I had several baseball coaches with rough looking Gatorade bottles they'd abuse hahaha. Even a couple of football coaches. Yeah it's probably just a tick/satisfactory thing. Sunflower seeds and bubble gum were always staples as well in baseball! It's pretty interesting how those things catch on for sure! Haven't thought about these things in awhile! Maybe it'll come back around who knows lol
