It is common in this part of the world (Nigeria) to claim we have enemies. People tend to see one another as potential enemies. They have this idea that someone hates them and as such, they hate the person in return.

This mentality has played a crucial role in how many people here relate with one another.

While we might have enemies because it is not possible for everyone to like us, it still didn't mean everyone is a potential enemy.

Sometimes, we need to look inward to fully and truly understand the real enemy. Doing this means examining one's life as Socrates had advised.

You might actually be your own enemy. That is, people seem to hate you not because they want to but because you have no love in you to receive love back.

If you are the type with strong face and very hard to relate with, you will naturally have many people on your radar as your enemies.

In reality, you are the real enemy that has pushed everyone far from you but because your hatred is so dark, you wont see it. You would be using their eyes to see yourself while you need your own eyes to see yourself.

Examine yourself, look inward and understand why people seem to distance themselves from you. Once you do this, you will be able to say whether you are your real enemy or you truly have enemies.

Bottom line, do good, share love, be open, be true and be real to everyone and you are most likely going to receive this in return.

Since we are not naturally unrealistic or like a beast, it is hard to show love and kindness and receive hatred or evil in return.

Just like the popular saying, what a man soweth, so shall he reapeth. Sow goodness into people's life and receive the same in return.

Thanks for your time.
