Today it was supposed to start warming up…………..
We made it to 12 degrees Fahrenheit, above zero!🥶
Hmmm……..
We finally dug out the Mrs car………
Silvertop’s truck, that’s another story!😳
My Dodge Dakota pickup is still buried in a snowdrift!😲
It is the traditional rear wheel drive, so it won’t be going anywhere for the next week!🤔
This morning Silvertop was helping Santa wrap presents, waiting for the Sun to warm things up.
I need more steps for today……
I decided to bundle up and hike down our road to the main road.
I passed our UPS driver in his four-wheel-drive pick up truck. Looks like he is doing fine on the snow packed roads.
That’s when I saw a blue Toyota stuck at the bottom of the hill, making several attempts to get a running start up the hill!
It was Mike, my neighbor that just lost his wife last week. I hiked down to see if I could help him.
Summer tires, front wheel drive only……
There was no chance he was going drive up the hill today !😲
He slowly backed down the steep hill……
This section of road has a creek on one side with a steep drop off. So if you cannot make it up the hill, you need to carefully back straight down or you will loose your car down in the ravine!😳
Mike was having traction problems down on the main road as well.
I stopped and waited to see if I could help push his car to the side of the road.
With tires spinning, he finally managed to park his car off the road!😅

I think I’m finished hiking for today as well…….😇

Wow… white al around.. it will much difficult to drive around there I think.. do you have different type of tyres or?
When we first moved here we had Front Wheel drive Subaru's, and even these had to have cable chains to make it up our road. Nowadays I keep a set of deep lug Metal studded tires in the garage, and after Thanksgiving I swap summer tires for winter tires!!😇😀
Our hill is notorious for feeding you into that creek! I remember when we first moved here and I was driving the Justy! I ended up crossways the road and gravity was feeding me towards the creek! Thank goodness our neighbor Jeff came along and got behind the wheel and got me up to where Mike had to park today! Once upon a time, that place was a winter parking lot for most of our neighbors.
I'm ready for it to melt, but maybe the forest could remain snow covered, just clear the roads, until Christmas so that we have a white Christmas!! 😁☃️❄️🎄🎄🎄🤗❤️

Lol…… now we get the ice storm, this is very dangerous! We are hoping that it isn’t as bad as they are forecast! Some of the airports are already closed😳
Ice storms can be nasty, keep safe. Over here, early morning it was dry, now its raining 😢

Careful with the driving. The skies are blue yet the ground is white.
Now we have freezing rain on top of the snow… This is the most dangerous condition. the freezing rain can take down power lines and take down trees!😳
Aww. That's scary. I heard some people experiencing power outages because of the winter.
It was probably the worst I've ever seen my friend!
