Snow Ball Fight!😇😊
Swirling Winter winds blew all night long……🥶
We got ten inches of light fluffy snow with three foot drifts in spots!
Every side of Silvertop’s home was plastered with this spider web of snow!😲
I pulled on my “Sorel pack boots” and headed out to the wood shed……..
Hmmm……..
The woodshed has open slats to let the firewood season. The blowing and drifting snow packed between each log like cement!😳
Silvertop had an idea!😊
“Liz I am going to use the leaf blower on the firewood!”😇
Using a high powered leaf blower to remove snow at 10 degrees above zero produces a fine cloud of frozen snow!
Guys don’t try this at home Lol!🤣
This worked wonderfully, it removed all the snow!🤗
I proceeded around the house with the leaf blower dragging an electric extension cord through the snow……….😇
Liz’s car……..
That was easy, why didn’t I think of this before Lol!
My custom made front door that I built from Douglas Fir was white!😲
Minutes later it was clear!
I was frozen from the fine ice crystals, but everything was clear!
Except our road………😬
No snow plows anywhere to be seen!
This is when the “crazy” drivers come out in force!
You can spot them very easily………
They usually are driving way too fast, on unplowed roads, or ice packed roads.
Once when we were crossing a Mountain pass in a snowstorm, I was passed quickly by an 18 wheeler……
When we started to descend on the other side of the Mountain this same 18 wheeler had jackknifed off the road and slammed into the side of the Mountain!😳
Sometimes it’s best to stay put and enjoy this Winter Wonderland from home!🤗😇

Just in our hike this afternoon, I saw one person whom if I were them, I would never have left home, as they have 3 of the 5 hills we normally hike on te road part of our hikes, just to get home! They just might be 'hoofin' ' it home! Then there was the 4WD pickup that whizzed by on the road we're connect to! I suspect he might just end up in a ditch before the snow's gone! Crazy people!!!

The funny thing is @silversaver888 , Liz and I did a little hike up the road in the afternoon and we stopped to talk to our friend at the tiny house. Turns out he just use his leaf blower to accomplish the same thing ......small world Lol!!😇😀

That's so thick. How about the car engines? Won't they get affected?
When it gets close to zero, starting cars can be a problem… We have a newer car but the battery is getting some age on it and this time of year can be hit or miss if it will start until the day warms up..

It has definitely got warmer here and the snow magically disappeared so quick!
That's how it is in the northwest it comes and goes, not like when we lived in the high country Colorado. When it snowed it was there all winter!!😀
Here we only get snow for a few days. Not even every year. This year it stayed for longer than normal. There is more in the north of the country of course.
