COLD AND DARK!😳................. Actifit Report Card: December 19 2022
Cold and Dark………..😲
The deep freeze has arrived!
Silvertop woke up to 8 degrees above zero this morning!😳
The wood stove was down to glowing embers, and the house was cold!🥶
Not to worry, Silvertop has several different ways to heat his house!😇
Liz rekindled the fire in the wood stove, and for a quick warm up of our house I fired up our high efficiency gas forced air furnace!😊
This is a new furnace that Silvertop personally installed several years ago, we very rarely use it. We prefer the warmth of a good wood fire!☺️
“Liz we haven’t run the gas furnace in two years, I think today is the day!”😇
The furnace hummed as the electronic ignition tried to ignite the gas burner……
With a whoosh, Silvertop could see blue flames through the furnace observation, site hole!🤗
Cot the baby Mountain lion went running for cover…….yowling like someone had hurt him!😳
His brother Cyle followed suit……….
This big noisy thing was a MONSTER, and the didn’t want anything to to with it!😮
I picked up Cot to show him that this “thing” made warm air just like the wood stove he is glued to each evening….😻
“That’s not going to happen Dad, that “thing” is breathing HOT air!”😬
Soon the wood stove was cracking out nice warm heat, and the gas furnace shut down and went back into standby mode.
The “boys” were happy, the house was warm and…….quiet!😇
Liz needed to run to the Post Office, and with the Mercury, not budging past single digits we decided to trek to town looking for last minute stocking stuffer’s!🥰
The roads were all snow packed for Santa’s Sleigh, until we hit the flats.
“Bare pavement Liz, how is the Big Guy going to navigate blacktop honey?”🤔
The Sun was setting, it was 4:00 , time to head home.
I know where there is a nice warm wood stove burning !😇
Stay warm everyone……
Tomorrow is supposed to be colder than today!🥶

It was, indeed, a bit chilly this morning........NOT more like FREEZING!! ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
Thank goodness for the wood stove (and even the furnace although I prefer the heat from the fire over it). Tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday are to be even colder than today! Brrrrrrr! Cot and Cyle are pretty smart with their built in fur coats!

That was quite deep. If that's rainwater, it's already flood. We are having a cold weather here now, but it might be warm for you. Hehe
That's what sometimes happens up here, it snows deep, then it melts in floods.....
The melted snow causes floods? That's sad
Unfortunately, yes, it can, we don’t know what will happen. We are in the middle of the ice storm at the moment……
