Con tanto multiverso en las películas de Marvel y en otras series como Rick and Morty, el concepto se ha ido popularizando en la ficción. Esta película lo aplica a una protagonista poco habitual. Se estrenó este año, siendo sus directores Dan Kwan y Daniel Scheinert.

Sinopsis: Evelyn Wang, una inmigrante china, ve cómo su vida rutinaria se ve asaltada por un caso de lo más extraño. Su esposo de otra dimensión se le aparece y dice que debe intentar salvar las múltiples dimensiones existentes. Evelyn tendrá que intentar comprender qué es lo que pasa y aprender en el camino; todo ello, mientras la vida sigue.

Synopsis: Evelyn Wang, a Chinese immigrant, sees how her routine life is assaulted by a very strange case. Her husband from another dimension appears to her and says that she must try to save the multiple dimensions that exist. Evelyn will have to try to understand what is going on and learn along the way, all while life goes on.

Es una película que si bien usa un concepto de moda, me parece muy creativa en la forma, probando meter dimensiones variadas, una edición que no te permite dejar de ver, un ritmo en ciertos puntos frenético, y bastante comedia para mezclar. Por el lado de la historia, se trata de resolver ciertos puntos que afectan el estado actual de la vida de Evelyn, en donde ella se hace preguntas sobre cómo sería su vida si hubiera tomado tal o cual decisión. Entre ellas se ve la relación con su esposo, su hija y su padre. Dando respuestas con bastante toque filosófico.

It's a film that while it uses a trendy concept, I find it very creative in form, trying to cram in varied dimensions, editing that doesn't let you stop watching, a pace at certain points frenetic, and plenty of comedy to mix in. On the story side, it's about resolving certain points that affect the current state of Evelyn's life, where she asks herself questions about what her life would be like if she had made this or that decision. Among them are her relationship with her husband, her daughter and her father. Giving answers with quite a philosophical touch.

La trama me gusta, lo que restaría sería la duración, que podría reducirse unos 20 o 15 minutos, ya que tiende a redundar. La parte de los efectos especiales, música y fotografía, cumple bien, son creativos en estos aspectos. En la actuación el trabajo es bueno, destacó a la protagonista interpretada por Michelle Yeoh y su esposo, interpretado por Ke Huy Quan.

I like the plot, what I would subtract would be the length, which could be reduced by 20 or 15 minutes, as it tends to be redundant. The special effects, music and photography are good, they are creative in these aspects. In the acting the work is good, highlighting the protagonist played by Michelle Yeoh and her husband, played by Ke Huy Quan.

Es una película que especialmente la primera parte, pasa rápido, y se disfruta bastante, destacando la creatividad en muchas secuencias, mientras te hace pensar sobre ciertos temas. Recomendable.
