Weather for two

You see it’s the month of July which simply means one thing for us over here in Nigeria, the rainy season. It’s that time of the year that the sinners over here call weather for two.

If you’re wondering what “Weather for two” is, it simply means a time where one would spend some alone time with his or her partner or partners if they’re more than two wink

Anyways, it’s that time of the year where mistakes are made and then nine months later, they’re at the hospital creating new lives. As for me, the rainy season is actually the best for me as it brings this cold weather with it that makes me stay indoors all day while wrapped with my blanket. It’s best for me when I have nothing to do outside of my home but the moment I have to step outside, it becomes the worse for me just like it is currently.

Yesterday I was drenched in the rain on my way back from school and though it brought back old childhood memories, I ended up getting a little bit of cold later that night. So like I said, it’s my best season and weather when I don’t have anything to do outside.

But the sad thing about this weather is that while people with a roof over their head celebrate and do whatever it is they do whenever it is raining, the homeless people are somewhere out there trying to survive and not die from the cold.

I remember how I would randomly think about the beggars I usually see on the roadside and wonder how they survive when it starts to rain. It’s sad, unfortunately there’s nothing I can do, at least not yet.

Anyways, currently the weather is making life really difficult for me as I have to go out everyday and the worse part about it is that I don’t have an umbrella to carry along and I don’t plan on getting one anytime soon because right now, the price of one umbrella will most likely be equivalent to the price of Bitcoin because this is their time (the umbrella sellers) to get rich quick. So I’m just going to wait until maybe September/October when it’s no longer raining and we now have the harmattan coming in then I will go get myself two or three umbrellas.

As for now, I will just keep on taking a free bath on my way back from school. Too bad I have no one waiting for me at home, no weather for two for me I guess, just a hot cup of tea and my warm blanket.

You are funny 😂😂😂 You should have gotten an umbrella before now though to save you from being drenched by the rain.

I really feel for the homeless too and they would wish they have somewhere to sleep too or perhaps wishing it stops raining. May God keep them safe from the cold too.

Yeah I know but I just never thought about it.

May God keep them safe from the cold too.

Amen.

Abeg lemme oooooo 😝😝, they should have known that something will come as a result of their mistake 😂😂

Anyways, I'm not a lover of raining season, I just like when the weather is cool but not too cold so I won't catch a fever.

Lol.. I actually enjoy it more when it rains.. The sound of the rain hitting against the roof and all of that makes it easy for me to sleep.
