That one time
So I'm right inside my house, sitting on my bed and I overhear this guys talking about the Chelsea match and how the outcome of the match had ruined their bet slip. They had played Chelsea to win but Chelsea had ended with a draw instead. The pain in the guy's voice as he went through every game in the ticket, realizing that Chelsea was the only team who ruined his chance of winning was a very relatable one, a feeling I no longer wish to have.
I remember that one time in school when my dad sent me my school fees and some voice in my head told me to gamble with a part of it. If I win, then I will be able to pay my school fees and still have some change left to buy whatever it was I wanted.
The funny thing about these things is that we only think about what we will do when we win and not when we lose as if there is no way I was going to lose. Well, I played the game and I don't remember what team it was that ruined my ticket but I'm sure that they've never won a match ever since because of the amount of curse I cursed at them that evening.
I remember how it felt like a huge piece of clothing was removed from my eyes when I realize that the money was gone. I immediately started to regret why I did what I had just done. Why didn't I just go pay like I was suppose to?
That day, the whole world felt like it was crumbling down on me and I felt like giving up. Luckily for me, a friend had felt pity for me and lended me some money to complete the one I had with me in other to pay the school fees and I had to pay him in installment.
That memory is definitely one I won't be forgetting in a hurry and it's a good thing because anytime I think about going back to sport betting and I remember what happened, I always caution myself and mind my business because there's no way I will put myself through what I went through back then.
in Nigeria we callit being optimistic or positive, who gets positive on a gamble.. its 50 50 obviously lol. no matter how well they are studied .. na still tete.. lol

Yeah I know but people always ignore that 50 percent chance of them losing until they lose. Its good to be optimistic but you shouldn't ignore the other part entirely that's why when gambling, its good to have a good risk management or else you might end up killing yourself.
Gambling is a no-no for me. The truth is that once you allow it to get inside you, coming out will be difficult because you will forever be expectant and so you might keep betting until ur account turn red😅😅
