Help a noob

While pubs are open again in Belgium, we can do the smalltalk again, and off course the obligatory talk about women, football and cars. But since the pandemic started, I sense that loads of my friends are now into crypto as well. And they all have one thing in common, they are all lyric about VeChain. But after some research I really do not see why VeChain is so different, and why this should be the gem among the common rocks.

I know it has lots of applicabillities, it is fast, it has all the ins and outs, but loads of other chains and coins have this too. Why is this the one? Could some one elaborate any more on this, and maybe convince me about VeChain?
