End Police Brutality in Nigeria

First and foremost, I will like to say a shout out to everyone that have been pushing this protest for days now and to those who have lost their life in this struggle, may your gentle soul rest in peace. Some months back, it was "Black Life Matters" that was trennding and Nigerians was not left out in the movement which shows how loving and supportive Nigerians are when it comes to supporting one another.

Some years back I read a book written by Richard Wright which he titled "The Black Boy" and after reading that book, I begin to ask myself if being born with the Black Color is a crime but the answer is not far from what is happening in my country now, as a black boy, the chances of seeing the next morning is very slim because you can get a gun shot anytime.

Now this is not the problem we are having with the white but from those who are suppose to be our protector, you dare not hold a sophisticated gadgets, dress well or have some cash in your bank account, that is the easiest way to knock on heavens door in this part of the world. So many life have been cut short for having any Apple products ranging from iPhone to iPod to mention few.

The Police and the SARS unit was set up for the masses to protect them and not to take their life, this unit are not working for the people anymore and all they care for is their own pocket. So many cases has been recorded where they will take people to the ATM to withdraw money from their account all in the name of the hair they are carrying, the phone they are using and they car they ride, failure to adhere to their order is automatic gunshot.

We don't feel safe even under our own roof, we walk with fear all over our faces in our own fatherland's, the authority is so unkind to human kind, this is a government of the people, by the people and for the power and shouldn't be against the people.

Just imagine you are not safe as an Uptrenndian here in Nigeria because the SARS and Police officers will tag you a criminal once they see any transaction related to crypto currency on your phone. It still baffles me that some people still lack the vision on all the benefits one can have access to through the internet legitimately.

It is on this note that I am calling on every Nigerians here on this platform to show their love and support towards this movement of #EndSARS and #PoliceBrutality. The SARS unit need to be banned totally while the Police unit need to be reformed. I may be the next person to take that shot, you may be the next person to take the shot or someone very dear to us.
