Pay With Bitcoin At McDonald's, Only in El Salvador.
On September 7th, El Salvador Latina American country accepted Bitcoin as legal tender along US dollar.
McDonald's the giant fast food empire, is the first american company to adjust to El Salvador's crypto acceptance law. They accept cryptocurrency payment through QR code printed on lighting network. Which is a two layer payment protocol that make cryptocurrency payment more stable.
cryptocurrency journalist Aaron van Wirdum reported that he went into a McDonald's fast food to check if the are really accepting Bitcoin for payment, in his mind he was expecting then to tell him "NO", but to his greatest surprised they were accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment.
El Salvador currently holds 550 Bitcoin, with intensions to buy more. The country is one of the biggest supporters of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general, I feel with time more countries with start accepting Bitcoin as legal tender.
To me this puts Bitcoin ahead of Gold, because I don't think there is any country that accepts gold as legal tender.
