Race, skin colour, age difference: To live in an Alternate tranquil universe!
Sometimes it feels like our world is designed for perpetual unrest and violence, like we humans have been condemned to live in chaos considering the recent events happening around us. Yet, there's still a bright side of all the evil happening in the world past and present, there's a good side and this blog is one of those stories that will put a smile on your face and maybe restore some tiny hope of a better world in you and I.
This happened a couple of years back, though it might seem that present world we live in is filled with so much hatred and crime, there is still goodness. Not on the popular basis of “rub my back I rub yours”, irrespective of the saying: "one good turns deserves another" and now hard to see people who gives to charity or help without ulterior motives. It is true that doing good and gaining popularity for doing so means a lot to a lot of people than the actual good deeds done. This old man and the young chap are total strangers, and the good deeds in this story wasn't done to be reciprocated.
Independent news UK spread the image above in a publication about four years ago(more or less). It happened that the young man was on his way for a job interview and it was clear the old and the young man were commuters on subway train ride, and the old man decided to come to his rescue. He and his partner could be seem helping the young man knot his tie and at the same time teaching him how to do it should in case he is alone and no one is there to help him.
Seeing this deepest kindness and love for humanity at play, it challenges me as well as motivate me, despite the age and race difference, the older couple feels very comfortable doing so, that never became a barrier for him to not do what every other citizens of the world should do to strangers or anyone in distress.
How do we correct this fundamental error in our world, the disparity based on race and other things? Simple,only if we all could be like the old couple and every other good people out there who will go out of their way to help someone or two in distress without gaining much attention. It is important to note that the picture that went viral and seems to restore some hope in humanity was taken by another passenger without the prior knowledge of the older and younger man inspiring and motivating millions out there who has seen the footage and read the news.
Not all young men like the young man would be humble enough to listen while the old man take the lead and helping him, also the old man was more kind and nice, taking his time to go out of his way to impact some knowledge into the life of a total stranger he’ll probably never see again in his lifetime.
Some good deeds like this are lessons to us all to see and to emulate, to help as much and not expect anything in return. To give when we can and to those in need without letting it known. This story is one of the many parts of the goods that is co existing in the bad world, a ying yang!
