This was a trip to forget for Bielsa's team as they were put to the sword by Pep Guardiola's men. It was a night of horror, a night to forget for Leeds United after Manchester City hits them for 7. This performance would forever ring in the memory of City fans and players as this would instil confidence in them as they continue their title charge at the top of the table. They would be hoping for Liverpool and Chelsea to slip up to further increase their lead at the top of the table.

It was a perfect night for Manchester City who played at home and treated their fans to a goal-fest. The fans came to see a football match but they were treated to an exhibition. Leeds are having trouble replicating their first season performance and City heaped more misery on them to further extend their struggles. Foden, Grealish, Mahrez, John Stones, Nathan Ake and a double from Kevin De Bruyne did the damage against Leeds United.

Rodri did his bit to start the rout after his charge into the box was left unchecked. The goalkeeper blocked him off and the ball spilt over to Foden just outside the box. His effort managed to find the back of the net in the 8th minute to give City their first taste of goal. It was the 500th goal of Pep Guardiola's era and what an incredible amount of goals they have scored.

It took City 5 minutes to add a second after Mahrez's delivery into the box from the right-hand side was stylishly sent into the back of the net with Grealish's header. Kevin De Bruyne also got in on the act in the 32nd minute after a clever pass from Rodri found him and from a tight angle, he beat the goalkeeper to take the lead on the night to 3-0.

In the 49th minute, Mahrez added the 4th for City after Grealish's charge on the left-hand side of the pitch. He managed to pick out Gundogan who then found Mahrez and Mahrez's strike took a wicked deflection as the ball found the back of the net. The 5th goal was the highlight of the goals after Gundogan fed Kevin De Bruyne just outside the box and he unleashed a thumping strike that flew into the back of the net, leaving the goalkeeper helpless in the 62nd minute.

John Stones became the 18th different scorer for City this season in the 74th minute after Meslier initially made a double save but John Stones got the better of him on his second attempt as he fired the ball into the roof of the net to make it 6-0. The rout was completed 4 minutes later when Foden's corner-kick delivery was powered home with a header by Nathan Ake to give City a perfect 7-0 scoreline and their 33rd win already in this calendar year.

What a performance by City as the title charge continues... They are growing in confidence every game and let's see if they would slip up before others.

Thank you for your time.

He made a bad choice coming back. There is no one he would bench at United...no one.

But he is not a bad player na, he even scores when put half time.

I like his energy and drive but they won't utilize him at United. He needs a mid table team where he can be relied upon and he would thrive.

Exactly and he was perfect at Westham, I just pray he leaves January with Martial.
