My Actifit Report Card: May 19 2022

Hey Actifitters,

Busy morning yesterday. I started with a visit to the foot specialist for my ankle. He was worried at the beginning but after a few tests, he was glad and pretty sure it wasn't serious. And so was I of course.
But next was a tough one as I had to drop Genepi at the vet for a very serious surgery, and I still wasn't sure it was the right decision. But I left him there and tried to go about the day normally.
So after working again on boring stuff in the house, we went for a walk, only with Kaia of course. She also seemed very confused about Genepi not being with us. We chose our usual forest as the destination.

When she saw the water, Kaia momentarily forgot about everything else and jumped in!

We then went to the other entrance to the forest.

With more water for Kaia to splash around.

Then we finally got the message we could pick up Genepi after a surgery that went apparently well. He was like stoned because of the anesthesia but kind of okay. We'll know more in a few days but it's more positive than before.

As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.

What was the recommendation from the foot specialist for your ankle? strapping support, strengthening and full range exercise movements?

Nothing much really. Apparently, the ligaments on the outside that he repaired 3 years ago with surgery held pretty well and healed very quickly this time. But there was some residual pain on the inside of the ankle. That's what worried him at the beginning, but after a few simple tests, he thinks it's nothing. He just gave me a shot of cortisone, some voltaren gel, and that's it. No rehab, or anything like that. It's feeling good now, so I will try a run soon. He thinks a brace is not even needed, but I will start with one and see how it goes.
You still having issues with your ankle too?

Mine might just be me getting old !LOL A few aches and pains at the end of a long day on my feet. They seem to be fine during exercise. I try to do a few full range ankle movements when I'm on Hive or watching T.V which seem to help.
