Look how pretty I am! My entry to Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 9

I am so glad the theme for this edition of Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 9 is "BIRD IN WATER" as I have a good visual catch to share with you all bird lovers :) I almost got a bath in the lake for that photo but it was worth it, I guess :)

I took this photo while sailing for birdwatching and nature enjoyment on the clean waters of Lake Kerkini in Northern Greece, one of the places full of wild life in this beautiful country.

I would like to show my gratitude to all people involved with this lovely contest: @nelinoeva, Feathered Friends Community @hive-106444, @melinda010100 and @oks2crypto! Keep it up!

Oh, it is. I am surprised how many people pass very close by it but never find the time to take an hour boat sail and enjoy the wild life :)
Thank you :)

Have some celebration !wine :)

How did you managed to capture this? Wow! And it looks so close.

That's great. Did you zoom it before you take the photo or you edited it after you might have taken the photo to appear close?

(Edited)

If you check out the EXIF I posted, these two rows answer your first question:

Lens EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM
Focal Length 400.0 mm (that's the maximum "zoom")

I cropped a bit during the post processing but not much, the main work has been already done "in the camera" :)

Thanks man.
Honestly, I have no idea how to read those things. If you didn't elaborate it now, I wouldn't have known.

True :) It could be a lot to comprehend :) Now and then people ask me about the parameters of the photos, that's why I started adding those now and then.
Has anyone asked you about your drawing techniques? Just curious :)
Thank you, I am glad I helped you in a way :)

Yeah, people do ask. But I make sure I add the techniques in every of my photo as well as the medium and paper I use.

Yes, I've noticed :) However, I should probably ask a similar question what does it mean, as I am very bad at drawing, heheeh :) Cheers! As a friend of mine said once, if I was good at drawing I wouldn't be a photographer :D

Great vantage point being on the water capturing a photo like that @lightcaptured one can feel the power of the wings from here.
