We finally got a 0-0 draw in the Euros and as I predicted yesterday, Spain struggled in front of goal in fact, Sweden should have won the game with both my tipped first scorer, Isak and then strike partner Berg coming close. The Berg miss from just a few yards out on an open goal was an absolute shocker!

The result however saw us have a couple of happy punters but full details at the end.

As for the other games, we had an incredible goal from Schick for the Czech Republic as they beat the hapless Scots 2-0 (no great surprises there!) and 10-man Poland lost 2-1 to Slovakia. Unlike Leeds captain Calamity Copper who was crap for the Scots, Mateusz Klich was superb for Poland and didn't deserve to be on the losing side.

Current World Champions France have the goal machine Benzema back in the squad after a 6-year absence and despite picking up a dead-leg last week in the friendly against Bulgaria last week is fit to play.

Germany are not the force they once were. France have beaten them 3 times out of their last 5 meetings with the other two games being draws on home soil. They didn't even get past the group stages at the last world cup and even lost to North Macedonia in their most recent world cup qualifier in March.

Their only saving grace is they will have Leeds, Robin Koch playing in defence but even he may not be able to save them from a mauling by the French!

Prediction: France 2 : 1 Germany - First Goalscorer: Gundogan

The Small Print

In the first goalscorer competition, own goals do not count. In the correct score competition, it's the score after 90mins. Extra time and penalties do not count and the pot for each competition will roll over if there is no winner. If more than one person chooses the same first goalscorer or correct score, the prize is shared and everyone gets a little upvote! It seems I also need to add, one entry per person. Don't forget the new rule that only people with a rep of 45 or above are eligible to enter unless they have been approved. The bonus will be added to any winnings ONLY if Leeds United win and/or Man U lose and all payouts will never exceed 50% of post payout. Other bonuses paid out at my discretion.
