Aparte de uno de los pesos pesados de la liga (el Arsenal), que perdió su partido, todos los demás equipos etiquetados como de primera categoría asumen su primer partido con estilo. Los grandes mostraron su clase al superar a sus rivales y ganar con grandes márgenes. En una liga que cuenta con más de cinco equipos que aspiran al título, es de esperar que muchos de ellos quieran empezar con una victoria, y la mayoría lo consiguió ayer.
Empezando por mi amado equipo, el Chelsea, demostramos quién manda al despachar al Crystal Palace y a su entrenador, estableciendo un récord no deseado en el proceso. Muchos habrían esperado que el Chelsea estuviera flojo o un poco cansado, ya que la mayoría de los jugadores que se presentaron ya habían jugado un partido de 120 hace apenas tres días.
Por mi parte, esperaba que el Chelsea sufriera un poco, pero los blues dominaron desde el primer minuto hasta el pitido final. Muchos podrían argumentar que el 3-0 no es lo que debería decir el marcador, ya que el Chelsea podría haber dado más brillo al marcador. Los blues y su afición, pero sobre todo el entrenador, estarán deseando empezar una nueva temporada como técnico e intentar ganar el título de la Premier League que se nos escapa desde hace años.
El equipo más impresionante de ayer fue el Manchester united y humilló al Leeds united. Muchos esperaban que el partido fuera muy disputado, ya que ambos equipos son rivales acérrimos y habrían luchado con uñas y dientes para asegurarse de que el partido fuera uno de los que se recuerdan, pero en lugar de eso, los Red devils casi se desbordaron, ya que el marcador de 5-1 podría considerarse una misericordia.
Los jugadores pogba y fernández se encargaron de marcar tres goles para su equipo, mientras que Paul fue el protagonista de todo. El equipo nunca había tenido una alineación tan buena como la de ahora. Breden Rogers mantuvo en el banquillo a su hombre estrella de la temporada pasada en la persona de kelechi. Aunque luego fue introducido en los últimos compases del partido, nadie pudo culpar a la táctica del entrenador, ya que consiguieron el tan necesario punto. El Zorro, tras ganar la Copa de la FA y el Community Shield, tendrá sin duda como principal prioridad esta temporada la conquista de la Liga de Campeones o la Liga.
El Everton también ganó su primer partido y Benítez estará contento con la victoria. Jugadores como Richerlison y DCL dieron la cara y el entrenador espera que mantengan ese rendimiento. El Aston Villa perdió ante el recién ascendido Watford en un partido en el que hubo un total de cinco goles y el Aston Villa encajó tres.
La liga está aún fresca y muy abierta y seguro que se producirán muchos resultados impactantes a medida que avance la liga. Mientras tanto, el Manchester City se enfrenta hoy al Tottenham y me encantaría escuchar tus predicciones en la sección de comentarios.

Aside from one of the heavyweights in the league (Arsenal) who lost their game, all other teams labeled as a top team ace their first match in style. The big boys showed class as they outplayed their opponents as they won with big margins. In a league that has over five teams gunning for the title, it is expected that a lot of them will want to get off with a winning start and most got that yesterday.
Starting with my beloved team Chelsea, we indeed showed who is boss as we dispatch crystal palace and their coach setting an unwanted record in the process. Many would have expected Chelsea to be sluggish or a bit tired as most players who turned out had already played a 120 game of football just three days ago.
I for one expected Chelsea to suffer a bit but the blues dominate from the first minute to the final whistle. Many could argue that the 3-0 scoreline isn’t what the scoreline should read as Chelsea could have score added more gloss to the scoreline. The blues and its fan but most especially the coach will be looking forward to starting a new season as a coach and trying to win the premier league title which has eluded us for years.
The most impressive team of yesterday were Manchester united and they humiliated the Leeds united sides. Many expected the game to be tightly contested as both teams are bitter rivals and would have fought tooth and nail to make sure the game was one to remember but instead, the Red devils almost ran riot as the 5-1 scoreline could be considered mercy.
The likes of Pogba and Fernandez did come through for their team as Bruno got three goals for the team while Paul was at the heart of everything. Putting up a man of the match performance by setting up four of the five goals his sides scored. The team lineup has never been this brutal and potent in recent times but going with how they played yesterday, it is fine to say that they may win the league if they continue playing just like that.
Klopp wouldn’t have had it any other way than getting a vital three points while playing away to Norwich. They may be a newcomer but they are quite popular as they were in the premier league two seasons ago and they did up a show. Liverpool though doesn't leave any of that to chance as they went out all attack from the start of the game and they got what they wanted which was a big win to boost the players' morale.
With yesterday display, one would have forgotten about the disastrous campaign they have last season and the win was a clear message of them being back and better than last season. Liverpool star man Salah started the day in the same fashion he left off last season by putting up a man of the match display with a goal and two assists.
The fox also got up to a winning start as they defeated their opponent with just a goal. The goal scorer was no other person than Vardy who for much of last season lost form and didn’t turn up as expected. This time his goal gave the men in blue three points and another shot of fighting for the champions league as they lost narrowly for three seasons in a row.
Breden Rogers kept his star man of last season on the bench in the person of kelechi. Although he was later introduced in the closing stages of the game but no one could fault the coach tactics as they got the much-needed point. The fox after winning the fa cup and community shield will certainly make winning a champions league spot or the league their main priority this season.
The likes of Everton also won their first match and Benitez will be glad about the win. Players like Richerlison and DCL turned up and the coach will hope they keep up with that performance. Aston Villa lost to the newly promoted Watford side In a match that produced a total goal of five with Aston villa conceding three of it.
The league is still fresh and wide open and many shocking results is bound to spring up as the league progress. In the meantime, Manchester City faces Tottenham today and I would love to hear your predictions in the comment section.
