Da inicio al encuentro y no más empezar ya al minuto 2 aparecía la primera tarjeta amarilla para Thiago alcantara por una entrada por detrás a gundogan, ya para los primeros 10 minutos el city dominaba la posesión aunque aun no generaba llegadas claras.

La intensidad iba subiendo de a poco y ya para el minuto 25 Mane la envía alto por un balón que le había dejado Alexander arnold pero no termino como querían y el Liverpool daba la primera jugada de peligro.
