We Are Alive! March 19th, 2022 Sleepy Day

image.png

I haven't done this in a while... I took a nap! I fell asleep around 3 or so and woke up around 6. It felt like a time-warp, the day disappeared just like that! Now I have to be careful not to stay up too late, but get back to sleep for another round for a productive day tomorrow!

How was your Saturday? Did you manage to get a nap in?

Yes. This is what the weekend is for. Okay. I know people, who work even in the weekends. For a proper sslary, I would also gladly do it, but nowadays I receive less than the local minimum wage.

Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.
All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

new challenges

For me the challenges are not new, but still every single day is a challenge for me. The challenge is actually the same. Live/survive under the local minimum wage.

It was quite strange, felt like a time-warp! My wife smiled when I showed her your comment. She's a good writer, I predict she'll be back on the blockchain blogging someday, @lturner. We used to do the "Ben and Lauren Show" on YT, we're also considering starting that up again, it was fun!

I hope both of you will come back with a boom on Youtube with your show.

Best wishes. Greetings to @lturner

I sleep when I need it and welcome naps. They are healthy and refreshing and I believe a necessary part of ones well being. Generally, folks don't get enough sleep. Thanks for sharing.

We could all use some more rest time, that's for sure!

Saturday was horrible today because I got a deadline on Monday. So I don't get my usual time off this week so I can get the work done. The only plus side is that I don't have much lined up for the workweek after this deadline.

Oh no, deadlines are very unpleasant. It's stressful making a deadline, but what a relief once it's resolved!

If you can find the time, it's worth it to take a nap.

Nice! I'm all about naps when I can get them. Taking naps can do wonders for mental focus and acuity, as well as the physical rest.

It really does help taking time out of a day to recharge!

As much as I would have enjoyed it, my Saturday did not include time for a nap. Since my wife just returned home from a week as her parents' (that's a whole other story), I spend the morning doing honey-dos and the afternoon and evening rearranging the appliances and furniture in the kitchen/dining room. On the flip side, I did sleep well last night (once I got to sleep). It was hard getting up for church this morning, but I was glad once I got there.

As my daughter and I are learning, productivity is not the goal. It can keep us from hearing what Yahweh is trying to say to us. I have a tendency to focus on my task list instead of Him. I'm not saying getting things accomplished is a bad thing, we just need to make sure and not let it be the main thing.

I appreciate the sentiment! Getting caught up in worldly tasks can distract from what the Most High is saying for us to do.

He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? Mica 6:8

We need ears to hear what He is saying every day. Get those weeds out, so the WORD can bear fruit! Fruit productivity is the goal, otherwise the farmer will say "why bother wasting space with this plant?".

I find it much easier to perform the duties of God's Reign while our hands are active, not idle. It's something I'm teaching my children also.

Hands on the plow, don't look back. Build on the foundation, don't worry about the floods. Remove all those weeds, so the plant will grow. Follow the shepherd, so we don't become lost. WORK out your salvation with fear and trembling.
