Every Father is Proud of the Accomplishments of Their Children

My oldest came into my office today with her daily math page. She told me to take a look at it - 100% in under 20 minutes! Wow, I think she knows her maths better than I do at this point.

Lesson by lesson, paper by paper and practice and more practice - she has become proficient at addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

She says that "multiplication" is her favorite math and the Factsmaster ribbon is green, her favorite color.

Could I Complete a Math Sheet 100% Correct in Under 20 Minutes... TWICE?

In order to earn the title "Factsmaster", the student must complete an entire math sheet in under 20 minutes with 100% accuracy. Not a single mistake allowed. Then to prove it wasn't simply a "lucky try", the student must repeat another 100% in under 20 minutes.

I'm not sure I could do it, this is only half the page!

Next Challenge: 5 Minutes

Some parents push the student even harder, requiring a 100% in under 5 minutes - yikes! We are continuing to practice so our little students will be able to do this too. The reward for that accomplishment will be more than a ribbon, but a special (yet to be determined) prize.

Hey, been a while since we heard from you and what a great update to come visit us with!

My eldest was quick at maths. She used to do mixed times table sheets like this. I don't recall the time limit on them, but would assume it was the same. I actuality got better at my time tables from helping my girls with them than I ever was at school.

After being away from school for less than two decades I think I will not able to do "5 minutes math" now.
