Spanish giants Real Madrid are growing more positive about their chances of landing German defender Antonio Rudiger. According to reports, the deal could be set to go through during the summer transfer window.
If the stout defender fails to renew his contract with the London Giants, he could well leave for free in the summer.

Details on Rudiger's current contract with Chelsea:

The contract of the German midfielder is poised to expire sometime in the summer of 2022. So far, Chelsea have failed to reach an agreement on renewal with him.
The latest offer brought by Abramovic and his cohorts was far less than what Rudiger was willing to take. According to reports in the Chelsea camp, Rudiger was offered a contract of 7 million euros a year.

Rudiger's discontent:

Based on the current situation of things at Chelsea, the 7 million euros contract offered to Rudiger is far lesser than what a good number of the senior players at Chelsea earns.
From the reports making the rounds, that has served as Antonio Rudiger's major discontent. He remains unhappy that the club has failed to meet up to his demand of a 10 million euros deal.

Summary:
For the time being, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel remains can and mute about the situation.
Nonetheless, he would be hoping that Chelsea are able to sort things out with Rudiger sooner rather than later.

I don't think Chelsea are the type of club who'd let him slip out of their fingers. He is too good to let go. He is young and fits their system. I believe he is looking for that final great contract which is what leaves me in doubt they could keep him around.

Exactly.

As much as he would love to stay at Chelsea, he also wants to secure a good contract for himself

Chelsea need him. His physicality shouldnt be undervalued in a league thats heavily physical. Need to keep this rock up the back

Now, I heard we even have more issues at hand.

Azpi as refused to sign a new contract as well, Christensen is still yet to sign officially, Timo is about to be kured away by Ragnick who bought him for Leipzig, J5 and Kepa are being eyed by Juve etc.

This is really looking very bad for Chelsea

We'll pull through. I think Chalobah is the future and I think we'll buy Tammy Abraham back. The pair IMO will lead Chelsea down the track.
