Sooner or later, even Warren Buffet sells. It's possible to HODL for so long that an asset which reached peak value crashes all the way back to ZERO. Hold for as long as possible, but if an opportunity comes to do something better, sell A to cash out or to buy B for another HODL.

And for many people, especially those who fell for scam coins, it's the greed to get more that let them down. If they cashed out after increasing their money at a hundredfold, they could have exited early with tons of profits instead of losing everything.
