This life is fragile

Life is fragile and the quote that says 'Don't take life too seriously because you can't get out of it alive' is not far from the truth at all. A lot can happen in a short while that would leave you to reflect and have your thoughts split into thousands of ways.

Appreciate life more because this is the only one you have. A lot of things go into life and we just have to do our part and pray to God to sustain us. When things go wrong, a lot of other people would feel that pain even more and death always bring a lot into perspective.

I was watching a football match between Denmark and Finland yesterday when a Danish player named Christian Eriksen fell unchallenged. The land was awkward, his eyes were already looking scary and I feared the worst for him. I was visibly sad, down, shattered and confused. I was praying in my mind for it not to be his last and it wasn't easy for me either because I saw a lot of players, both his teammates and opposition shedding tears. I looked at the stand and you can see the fans crying too. I feared the worst.

The moment that shattered me even the most was when they were trying to restrain the wife and then speaking to her on the sideline, away from where they were attending to her husband. I could imagine a lot of thoughts going through her head. It's a terrible situation to be in - the uncertainty, the fear amidst keeping hope that everything would turn out alright. She was inconsolable as expected.

He was revived which took a lot of time before he was taken off the pitch while they formed a covering for him as they led him off the field on the moving stretcher. I later heard the news a few minutes after that he is responding and he even spoke. That was what calmed me down a bit yesterday.....

No one wants to be in that situation or put another in such a situation and this opened my eyes to the truth that life is fleeting and we should create as many memories as we can. We need to make the most of the life we have. We need to learn to be at peace with others while treating others with the respect that they deserve. Not everyone will agree with you but you need to learn how to disagree with people while still respecting their rights to their opinion.

It took me back to when I lost my dad and then mum afterwards. I was in school when I heard the news that dad passed away. We were close to our exam period at that time. I was only holding on to the last image I had of him and the last word we spoke. I keep imagining his voice even to date and I just can't shake it off that he was gone. Life is fleeting.

That of my mum was more shocking for me because I was around. We just finished cracking jokes and she went inside. I didn't see her for a couple of minutes before I had to go and check on her. She told me she was feeling pain in her chest and before I could go out to get help, she was gone. Just like that and that made me understand that life can happen at any time and we need to just live life to the best that we can.

Watching how that player was struggling yesterday took me back to how fragile life is. He is an athlete which everyone can understand that they should be fit and constantly checked and in a major tournament, that happened. This only confirmed to me that death is never a respecter of a person. When it happens it happens.

This is just a call for us to focus on the things that matter to us. I know that is relative but I believe family is important too. Create as many memories as you can with those you love, do things you have always wanted to do, live your life as though it's your last. Make out time for people that matters too because life is fleeting and there is little we can do about it.

There was a man who never laughed or played, he never sang, he never clapped or prayed. Then, one day, he died and his insurance was denied for they claimed he never really lived, so they said he never really died.

Don't take the above literally but I hope we can understand the message I am passing across with that. Live... that's what life is for. Touch as many hearts as you can. Love, even when it hurts. Sing even though you are terrible at it. Dance, even when your legs hurt. Try something new and don't die with your dreams unfulfilled...

And yet, it is one of the most universal experiences of being human. It reminds us of the fragility and vulnerability of life in a body, forces us to put things in perspective, challenges us to expand our understanding of how things work, and connects us with one another in a profound way. ... Life is “Brutiful”

Super touching!
Sorry about your loss though I can feel how painful it was you know.
Life is actually not worth wasting we need to make the best out of the one we have cause we all believe it's an opportunity.
