I've never gone to one of these things but know a few who have and I've always heard good things. In truth I'm not much of a con-nerd, or whatever such a person may be called, although I think it's very cool that people get so passionate about these things that they dress up and all. It's great.

It's funny how "nerd" has gone from an insult a few decades ago to a badge of honor.
This is true...I wonder how many people felt bullied by the word and now it's is as you say, worn with pride. It's a strange world.
