Hello my friend! 😊

Our Roma tomatoes are starting to turn colour here as well. I've processed over 10 pounds so far and there are many, many, many more to come in. Your tomatoes are beautiful and big, well done to you all for growing them! 😊

We've got loads of cucurbits out there to be harvest, but can't get to them yet. All their greenery growth is obscuring a lot of them, but once the frost hits we'll see a bunch out there. Some really neat looking gourds, big as blown up balloons, very cool, to us at least, as we haven't seen them that big here before. We're really looking forward to the pumpkins though, they're my favourite as I love pumpkin seeds, and of course there's so many pies and cookies and cakes to make with the flesh...yum. Now I just need to wait for the frost; which if the chilly winds out there today are any indication, are not far off. The icky white stuff is coming fast. Yikes! LOL! 😊

I can't wait to see what you all make with your pumpkin! 😊

God bless you and your wonderful family. Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! #&128522;

Wow, 10 lbs of tomatoes with more to come, that's fantastic! We dug out a new patch from the grass and haven't properly fertilized it yet, which perhaps explains our underwhelming tomato harvest. But we have a new compost going for next year, we have lots of good fertile dirt to amend the soil for next year.

I had to look up "cucurbits", they look like squashes. We would love to grow pumpkins some time, but I think we need more land for that, our tiny suburban backyard is already almost 1/5th garden! It makes mowing much faster when there's less and less grass! Our family loves pumpkin seeds and pies. Yes, that icky white stuff is coming sooner rather than later, which is strange since we were wearing shorts and swimming outside just a week ago! There is already a nip in the air and the leaves are beginning to turn.

This has been an excellent year for our tomatoes, especially the Roma's; which we grew for the first time this year. We still have a lot more to harvest and I forgot to weigh the last batch I brought in, so we won't have an official total, but I'm looking forward to knowing our approximate yield at the end of harvest. 😊

There are a mixture of pumpkins, butternut squash, maybe some yellow squash and a bunch of different gourds all within our cucurbits section. You can grow your on a trellis system instead of letting it grow across the ground, just needs to be really sturdy as some of the fruit will be quite heavy and the limbs are no schleps either. LOL! 😊

A lot of trees are losing leaves already, makes me sad, but if the winter flies by as fast as the summer, than spring is right around the corner and that makes me happy. (Okay, I know I'm being silly, but a gal has to do something to psych herself up for that white stuff.) I've had to dress in layers for the past week because the mornings have been very chilly with the winds, but by afternoon (if the sun is out that day) it gets so warm you can walk around in a t-shirt or thin long-sleeved shirt, if you're fair-skinned like myself. LOL! 😊

I look forward to seeing your garden after the mulch/compost treatment, whichever crop you decide to plant. 😊

God bless you and your wonderful family. Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! 😊
