Pau Torres was a big profile for Spain during this summer's European Championship finals, where he delivered several good performances. It has since raised interest in the 24-year-old Villarreal profile, who has also been a prominent figure in the defense of "The Yellow Submarine" in recent times.

Now Spanish Marca reports that Manchester City have joined the fight to pick up the defensive rock for the Etihad. City already have big profiles in the defense such as Ruben Diaz, John Stones and Pau Torres' teammate on the Spanish national team's Aymetic Laporte, but that does not scare the English big club.

However, Manchester City will get a fight to the line, as the city children from Manchester United are also supposed to be looking for the coveted 24-year-old Spanish star, while Tottenham are also lurking for Pau Torres, Marca believes to know.

Already in the summer transfer window, Pau Torres was rumored away from Villarreal, but those rumors downplayed the Spaniard himself at a press conference back in September, where he openly explained that he did not relate to rumors, but instead concentrated on playing for Villarreal.
