Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge - Sandworm

Welcome to another Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge. Here is the original post if you want to enter a battle yourselves.
This week we have the Dune inspired Sandworm. This is a great common neutral monster who regularly appears in reward chests.
Huge Sand Worms have always lived in the desert of Draykh-Nahka, but with the recent uncovering of the various Untamed Prophecies, they have mysteriously grown even larger. They have also become more wild and free, somehow discovering how to escape from the Sands of the Dragon Splinter. Although it has never been witnessed, biologists believe that the Worms have learned how to swim. If they have indeed learned to burrow through water like sand, the Splinterlands will suffer greatly from their proliferation. In Mount Mox battle, Sand Worms can swallow monsters of nearly any size with no need to chew. They can even snatch fliers directly from the air, extending out of the ground even higher than the arena walls.
As you can see the Sandworm monster has some great stats with a massive 5 point melee attack and a reasonable 5 health at level 1. It also comes with the Sneak attack ability which means it will attack the monster in the last place of the enemies team instead of the first. This can be used to great advantage in many battles.
My card is currently only 5 cards away from level 4. I must of won most of these reward cards in missions as I have 25 and I don't remember buying any. 😁 I will be buying the extra 5 cards soon to get that extra hit point !
It would also be great to get it up to level 6 to gain the Snare ability. This would make Sandworm a nightmare for any flying monsters.
I tend to only use this monster in high mana battles but he is always near the back.
Battle Strategy + Line Up
Widely considered as one of the best cards available today as he has some amazing abilities to give your team.
Grants +1 Health to all monsters.
All friendly Range attack monsters have +1 hitpoints
All friendly monsters gain the Blast ability.
Blast Ability: Ranged or Magic attacks do "splash" damage to adjacent enemy Monsters.
He is pretty much unbeatable in high mana battles. Just load you team up with Ranged attack monsters and sit back and watch the carnage unfold !
This is a great Fire Splinter tank card with impressive stats for 8 level mana. He has the True Strike ability which means he never misses !
I have a Gold Foil Level 3 card with 4 hitpoints and 9 health !
He will of course receive +1 health buff and gain the Blast ability from Yodin Zaku making him a force to be reckoned with.
This is a great Fire Splinter Ranged attack monster with the Sneak ability.
I love this monster and the artwork is great.
My card is currently at level 4 but i am limited to level 2 for this battle still giving some impressive stats. with 2 hit points and 5 health for 6 mana.
Along with the Sandworm he will pick off the enemy from the rear.
He is always an asset in every battle and he will recieve a +1 ranged attack hit point and the Blast ability from Yodin.
This sneaky worm will use his ability to pick of the enemy from the back while my tank decimates the front.
He will of course receive +1 health and the Blast ability from Yodin.
Never forget your Chicken!!
The chicken will act as cannon fodder for any sneak attacks from the enemy.
Always willing to lay down her life for the team :)
Battle Review
As the warriors enter the arena i dont think i have much to worry about. All my opponents cards are only level 1 whereas i have two level 3's and two level 2's in my team plus i have Yodin !
Spark Pixies and Fire Elemental both attack Charlok Minataur with Fire Elemental causing additional damage to Pyromaniac via the Blast ability !
Elven Mystic and Serpentine Spy are both destroyed by Pyromaniac with one hit using the blast ability.
Living Lava and Magma Troll both take a hit at my tank Charlok Minotaur leaving him with only 2 health !
Sandworm takes the stage to destroy both Spark Pixies and Fire Elemental with one hit using the Blast ability.
As the round ends Charlok Minotaur gets a hit in at Living Lava and of course does additional damage to Magma Troll with Blast.
Round 2 begins with Pyromaniac killing Magma Troll but Living Lava then destroys Charlok Minataur.
Sandworm gets a hit in before the round ends.
Round 3 ends quickly with Sandworm destroying Living Lava.
That was what you call Short + sweet :) It turned out to be a quick battle and it was great to watch. Sandworm is probably my favorite monster with the Sneak ability and i will use him regularly in high mana battles.

Very nice post man. I also love to use zaku often with sand worm to give my opponent an unimaginable damage 😉 keep playing splinterlands and post awesome contents.
