Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge - Electric Eels

Welcome to another Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge. Here is the original post if you want to enter a battle yourselves.

This week we have the Electric Eels monster.

Eels have always been an excellent source of food for the Uman inhabitants of the Archipelago of ΛZMΛRÉ. They are easy to catch and quite delectable when properly seared. Unfortunately, a Fisherman can never tell if an Eel is electric or not… until it’s too late. When summoned to tournament battle, Electric Eels show amazing skills of cooperation, with precisely coordinated movement and their infamous Targeted Groupshock technique.

As you can see this is a Promo Edition Rare Water Splinter monster with some impressive stats.

I had never encountered this monster before so I had to rent the card and I went for a Gold Foil Level 5 card to gain the excellent Blast ability !

I can't believe the price of some of these cards its crazy. You can hire them for pennies.!!

Battle Info

This is a 30 mana level battle with all splinters allowed except Dragon.

I have 5 cards in this battle against 6!

Water vs Earth

Ruleset = Fog of War + Equalizer

Battle Line Up

Summoner: Alric Stormbringer

This is a really great water summoner as he grants +1 Magic hit points. I use him for all my water battles

First Place: Goblin Mech

I will have my all time favourite tank Goblin Mech up front as is usually the case in most of my battles.

This is a really great melee attack monster with amazingly high stats.

I have a level 5 Gold card giving him 5 hit points, 3 Speed points, 6 Armour points and 10 Health points due to the equaliser ruleset making him very hard to destroy.

Second Place: Electric Eels

This melee attack monster has the Reach ability which means it can attack from second place making it ideal for backing up your tank in any battle.

It has some seriously impressive stats for a 4 mana monster. I have mine at level 4 giving it 2 hit points, 4 speed points and a massive 10 health points for this battle.

Third Place: Captain's Ghost

This is my best magic attack water splinter monster and it will receive a +1 magic hit point buff from the summoner Alric Stormbringe giving it 3 hit points.

Fourth Place: Ruler of The Seas.

This is an impressive monster with dome great stats and it is currently worth $47.

This magic attack monster will also gain +1 hit points from the Summoner.

Furious Chicken

Never forget your Chicken!!

The chicken will act as cannon fodder for any sneak attacks from the enemy.

Always willing to lay down her life for the team :)

Battle Walk-through

As the warriors enter the arena we get our first look at the enemy. When you consider the numbers I don't think I have to worry. The enemies monsters are all only level 1 whereas I have 1 level 5, 1 level 4, 2 level 3's and a level 1.

Round 1 ends with zero casualties but the enemies tank has taken a good beating with only 3 health left !

Halfway through round 2 the enemies tank is destroyed after taking hit's from both Electric Eels and Ruler of The Seas.

In round 3 the enemies new tank Unicorn Mustang is also killed with Goblin Mech delivering the final lethal blow !

All my monsters still have full health except my tank.

Round 4 continues well with Goblin Mech destroying Screeching Vulture. However he is then killed by Wood Nymph but he has done his part and victory is assured.

In round 5 we see more of the same with no fatalities.

Round 6 begins well with Electric Eels killing Wood Nymph.

In round 7 we see Spirit Shaman being killed by Spirit of the Sea.

The last enemy is destroyed.

This was a great battle and Electric Eels performed really well. This is a great monster to have in second place backing up your tank especially with the really low mana count.

I will definitely use this card in a similar line up again.

This is also the most DEC I have won from a battle so far. 😀
