A Laid Back Sunday.......My Actifit Report Card: December 11 2022
Hey everybody and thanks 🙏 for stopping by today! 🎄😁🎄🦌
Since @silvertop is sick, we decided to not go to church ⛪️ and spread the joy! We tuned in via FB instead. Once church was over, we did a couple of quick tasks on the computer and then decided to go for a hike up to the cabin. We didn’t invite Jan simply because we didn’t want to expose her to his bug. It was not a marathon hike at all. We took our sweet time heading up.
This was the view up there.
I brought the Christmas decorations along as it was high time to spread some Christmas cheer in the forest!
For those not familiar; this is the 4th Christmas that I’ve decorated this little pine tree 🌲 in the forest. It became a highlight for the hikers and it spread to decorating for every season; Christmas, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, the 4th of July, Labor Day and Halloween.
I found an interesting leaf on the way back down.
And some nice looking lichen too.
I had pumpkins by the gate posts, but a furry little friend 🐿️ has eaten all but one, which he’s created a cavern in.

It’s been a bit of a laid back day. I was going to roast coffee ☕️ for a customer, but have decided to do that tomorrow morning instead.

I checked it today and he's not eaten a bigger hole yet. I'm wondering if he's done with this one and looking for more. I've got more on my deck and am hoping he's going to miss them. I've also thought about just putting them out in the garden for his dining pleasure, because if he starts in on them on the deck, there will be a huge, squishy mess! Take care!

It's such a lovely gesture decorating that pine, I bet it wits every year for you to visit, these living things feel our presence and absence. Prolly makes the other trees jealous, I can just imagine a whole fairytale story surrounding that plant. Someday, I'll write about and dedicate it to you.
I hope you enjoyed your Sunday service, I too couldn't make it to church but for different reasons. Thank God for online services.

This tree is special; it gets EVERY holiday decorated! I started the tradition back Christmas of 2019 and when covid struck, I continued with Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day and Halloween. If I could find weatherproof Thanksgiving decorations, I would do that as well! The few of us on the road that hike these trails, look forward to the tree decorations.

Thank you sis! He is still pretty bad, but still goes hiking to try and 'blow it out' as he says. I wasn't able to go all the way up today as I threw my back out for a 2nd time in a week, but much worse than ever before. I only made it about 2000 steps up the road before I had to turn back. Tomorrow at work should be fun-NOT!
Anyway, it is what it is and it will get better (fingers crossed).
