My Actifit Report Card: July 17 2022

Hey everybody and thanks 🙏 for stopping by today! 😎👍😇

Before I get into today’s post, the first picture shows the newest member to the neighbor’s cow population! Yes, baby number 2 of 4 was born in the past twenty four hours. This little one belongs to one of the brown cows 🐄 The cream colored one and the black and white one are yet to deliver.

So back to today; after getting up and whatnot, I began preparing a latte for @silvertop and while I was working on that, I took some of our equipment we haul for leading worship out to the car. Upon exiting the house 🏡 I heard a squeaking noise-like a mouse might make if it’s in trouble. I saw 👀 a brown colored something move that was in a bucket 🪣 on the front porch. Upon further investigation, I discovered a tiny baby bird was in the bucket 🪣!! So I scooped him out; he couldn’t really fly but was doing his best to get away from me! If he hadn’t been on the path I needed to traverse, loading equipment, I’d have left him alone. I was afraid I’d step on him, so I was in hot pursuit to catch him to relocate him to a safer place. Mom was nearby squawking at me as well. After a bit of chasing, I finally caught him and moved him to the safety of the ground under the Apple 🍎 tree. Mom was happy I was leaving her baby alone-finally!!

After finishing the coffee and loading the car, I walked the driveway to make sure baby had not wondered into harm’s way. No baby and no mom either, so she must have coerced him to fly. I was glad! He was so tiny and so cute and so trying to fly!

We got to church and set up to practice. We typically will run through the 5 songs twice to get rid of my morning frogs 🐸 Things went well; I love singing to God. The connection is like no other!

After church we headed to town to pick up some milk 🥛 for coffee ☕️ and then home. 🏡 we initially had planned to take a short hike 🥾 with Jan, but today was really the only opportunity to go grab a few things at the store, so we went shopping 🛍 instead. We did in the end do a seriously mini hike 🥾 later in order to attain our goal for the day.

That’s gonna be it for now. Tomorrow brings a hike to the infamous Gold Mine Trail! @actifit-lamb is very excited to take some of her newly found family members out for their first Gold Mine Trail hike! She’s an old hand at this and is looking forward to showing them the ropes!🐑😎
