My Actifit Report Card: October 4 2021
Hey and thanks for stopping by! How was your day?
I slept in this morning- later than usual. I just can’t seem to catch up on sleep. It’s maddening, really!
I’ve been asked to play the flute for a funeral tomorrow, so I got my music together and decided how I was going to run 3 hymns into a medley. It worked out well.
We planned to hike with Jan at 2 , so we headed out. It was round 2 of decorating the tree up the trail. The tinsel just wasn’t enough. @actifit-lamb came along and found a new friend!
Mr. Skelly, as she calls him, is a ton of fun and he’s happy! (Which she likes!)💀
We completed the task and kept on going up the trail. It is a total ‘shroom lover’s paradise! 🍄 There are soooo many varieties out right now and soooo many awesome pictures! I’ll just share a few and save some for those rainy day posts when it’s too wet to go.
This next one has been absent from the forest for about 2 years. ……….it’s back!
I named this one ‘The Cinnabon’ as it reminds me of a fluffy pastry. I am sure it’s extremely poisonous. It just has that look about it. The last time this was out, there were two of them; one about a foot in diameter and the other about 8”. So far, there is just one and it’s about 6-7” in diameter. It has multiple layers.
Last but not least…….
Who would’ve guessed such a delicate stem was under a nondescript brown‘shroom?
Such eye candy from a view within a view of our world! Amazing, really!

Thanks sis! It's kind of become a tradition with the seasonal decorating. It started as a fun thing to do to life anyone's spirits who hiked the trails in the early days of the pandemic. Take care sis!
