H-O-T!!!🥵🥵🥵 That was the forecast and that was how it was today! Silly fools that we are, we headed out for a hike earlier than normal but not nearly early enough. I drank a quart of liquid while hiking! I never usually drink that much😳
The neighbor’s yurt is progressing but they shut down just as we were headed out.
Up in the forest, this year’s Indian Ghost Pipe is just beginning to emerge. We found about 3 colonies thus far.
@actifit-lamb’s long time friend Penelope-lamb has come for a visit, so the two girls came along for the hike.
I was very glad to get home to air conditioning! I don’t do heat well and these temperatures are over the top for us. Shopping might be a better choice for tomorrow. At least it should be cool in the store and we can get some steps while shopping.

As for the Ghost Pipes.....I googled it and they say it is and tastes somewhat like asparagus, but then they say they recommend not eating it as it can be mildly toxic? Upon further investigation, it's okay to eat cooked, but not so much raw. Apparently cooking removes any toxicity. I think I'll just look at them. Thanks for stopping by!

I always have to check what 100 F is in Celsius. It is 37 Celsius and yes that is really hot! Now I understand ;)
LOL! When we first moved here, we listened to a Canadian radio station. I had to learn how benchmark celsius and kph to know the degrees equal and mph equal. I got pretty good at knowing 'about' how hot, cold, or fast I was going. At the time, I had a little car that only had mph on the speedometer.

Oh man, too hot for hiking! LOL We had those temps a couple of weeks ago but thankfully it has cooled off. It is actually in the 60s right now!

Very true, sis, but hotter than we've ever had it this far north! We just aren't used to this!
I know that they will be glad when it's completed. It's been a project since last September.
I love finding Indian Ghost Pipes! They are like a little surprise lurking just beneath the forest floor debris and then they poke their heads out! Plus they are so white, it's kind of amazing!
