NICE...The journey continues...

Il viaggio cominciato col principato di Monaco è continuato verso Nizza. Qui, seguendo le orme dei grandi impressionisti francesi, siamo arrivati alla casa di Matisse, oggi museo dove abbiamo potuto apprezzare le opere di questo grande artista.Infatti, Henri Matisse, influenzato dai lavori dei post-impressionisti Paul Cézanne,Gauguin, Van Gogh e Paul Signac, ma anche dall'arte giapponese, fece del colore l'elemento cruciale dei suoi dipinti. Molti dei suoi quadri realizzati tra il 1899 e il 1905 fanno uso del Pointillisme, praticato da Signac. Indipendentemente dal lato artistico il ritorno in questo luogo mi ha portato alla mente un ricordo del 1997, quando giovanissima, con alcuni amici, ci ritrovammo in questo luogo tra autostop e passeggiate lunghissime, una vera vacanza on The road come solo a vent’anni puoi fare! Coi miei adorati ragazzi più che parlare di arte abbiamo parlato di questa mia vacanza...eh sì, anche i professori hanno avuto 20 anni, ed io me li sono goduti in Toto. Tra un quadro ed un altro, ho raccontato della mia passione per l’arte in modo attivo e vivo, che dire queste sono le lezioni che amo di più.
Perché non insegni quello che sai ma quello che sei.

The journey begun with the principality of Monaco continued towards Nice. Here, following in the footsteps of the great French impressionists, we arrived at the house of Matisse, today a museum where we could appreciate the works of this great artist. Indeed, Henri Matisse, influenced by the work of the post-impressionists Paul Cézanne, Gauguin, Van Gogh and Paul Signac, but also from Japanese art, made color the crucial element of his paintings. Many of his paintings made between 1899 and 1905 make use of Pointillisme, practiced by Signac. Regardless of the artistic side, the return to this place brought to mind a memory of 1997, when very young, with some friends, we found ourselves in this place between hitchhiking and long walks, a real holiday on the road like only at twenty you can do! With my beloved boys more than talking about art, we talked about my vacation ... yes, even the professors were 20 years old, and I enjoyed them in Toto. Between one painting and another, I told of my passion for art in an active and alive way, that to say these are the lessons I love most.
Because don't teach what you know but what you are.

Nizza: la sera la passeggiata è continuata per il centro della città dove abbiamo potuto ammirare Plaza Masséna sovrastata da queste statue che cambiavano colore, davvero molto suggestive. Poi, come spesso capita, i ragazzi si sono voluti separare, chi ha voluto proseguire la serata in un pub e chi ha preferito continuare a camminare. Io ho preferito accompagnare i ragazzi sul lungomare Promenade des Anglais, soffermandoci a guardare il mare e a parlare dell’attentato avvenuto l’anno prima in questo luogo. Parlerei sempre con i miei ragazzi, adoro conoscere i loro pensieri, idee, aspirazioni, e perché no, dubbi, preoccupazioni, perplessità. Qui di seguito le foto.

Nice: in the evening the walk continued to the center of the city where we could admire Plaza Masséna dominated by these statues that changed color, really very suggestive. Then, as often happens, the boys wanted to separate, those who wanted to continue the evening in a pub and those who preferred to continue walking. I preferred to accompany the boys along the seafront Promenade des Anglais, stopping to look at the sea and talk about the attack that took place the year before in this place.
