"The Days End" - A Poem

If you’re not careful
The days will all go
Leaving you with
Nothing to show
For having lived all of them
Older than now
Older than then
Young as you’ll
Ever be again
Same face
New lines
Wisdom with time
Only if you let it in
No matter how
The days are spent
The days will end
The days all end
And if you have not lived them well
What then?

This was another one I probably wrote in 2020 based on how it feels. I’ve been working from home for years but this was different and time was beginning to lose all meaning. At least that’s how it felt at first. I think the idea behind the poem still holds true but the feeling of stagnation that led me to write it isn't as intense.
