Til Death

"Til death"
Was apparently not understood
Every last breath
Was what we should
Have held on to
But no
Something better came along
Enticing in its' song
And I was nothing but a step
Devoured as I wept
By the belief I was wrong
I was the evil one
The words were spun
Into my mind
All unkind
Convincing me
Convicting me
Of things I couldn't see
But had to be true
For I believed
And couldn't conceive
That she could lie
And our love die
I was deceived
It had to be me
While she was the one
On the run
Sleeping with an enemy.

And now
Confronted by my own new
Can I make that commitment again?
Or will I fear it will happen again?
Who can I trust?

This is of course not easy for me. But hey, I managed to squeeze something out. I hope it's not terrible. I just had a rough time of it.
