Today's Blog is interesting If you like story writing by looking at pictures. I was attending a lecture about media study and they assigned us a task to write a story in 10 Minutes by looking at some pictures(totally new for us).

We had no clue that these pictures are not random but actually from the short film "THE CLUE". We were tasked to write a fictional story frame by frame.

After I presented it to the audience, The sound of clapping was enough to know that I did something more than average.

Here frames are in the opposite order as Whatsapp chat media is in the opposite order. Let's see my attempt which I had to read aloud to the audience after submitting on my turn.

A proof of original work(written on softcopy too after this image and these were my personal notes for storytelling) on my Travel Journal(Always stays with me):

Frame 1:
It was a regular day in the valley of Light. Julie opened the curtain of shower stall. She was looking as beautiful as ever wearing her favorite blue bathrobe. Julie sat for breakfast, she was enjoying the warmness and freshness of the food. Julie was going through mental trauma because her husband, was killed by the famous and evilest of all witches, the "Witch of South".

Frame 2:
Julie heard the voice of her deceased husband from the big mirror. She at first thought it's her memories haunting her but late Charlie called her name in the same lovely way as he used to say "Juuulllieee", she could;t stop her feet. Her heart guided her feet to the BIG MIRROR. On looking at the mirror she saw her husband's writing. A Ghost of late "Charlie" was writing with blood "COME ON ADVENTURE COFFEE?" on the BIG MIRROR.

Frame 3:
She got frightened by what she saw. Julie quickly ruins towards the old library. She was throwing books from the shelf until She found "COME ON AN ADVENTURE COFFEE" a book that we considered to be a myth. In that mythical book, She found a bookmark. The blood was still dripping from that bookmark. The information She found was shocking for her. She read "The witch of the South", is a lady to whom no men ever loved. Kill her before, she kills all happy couples." There were also instructions given to kill the witch of south.

Frame 4: (from her I had only 3 MINUTES left as I used a lot of time on brainstorming)
She quickly ran towards the old treasury museum. She gathered all the materials to kill her.

Frame 5:
On the way towards the witches Castle she found a note saying"Be careful, the witch of south is a shapeshifter."
(I had to introduce a new character on frame 6 that I realized at the moment and my story was based on 2 characters because of lack of time, I made the witch a shapeshift to deal with upcoming challenges of Frame 7)

Frame 6:
Julie saw a lady with a wand and throw holy water (I know it's a worse basic idea but TIK TIC TIK) at her which she collected from the old museum. The witch turns into shadows and Julie lost her target.

Frame 7:
After a while when Julie was sleeping after getting tired, she saw a lady approaching her with a map in hand. It was a magical map of witchery's power. Julie acted as she is still sleeping. When the witch was unaware Julie caught her in the act and by throwing holy water, Julie killed the witch.

Frame 8:
Julie went home. She was standing near the window and felt happy as not the happy couples are safe from the witchery of the witch of south.

I hope you liked what I share with you today. You can also engage with me by writing your own story on these frames. Either tag me in post or write it in comments. The most difficult part is writing it in 10 minutes.

There will be only one winner who will win 1 HSBI share. Will be announced here by editing this part.

Although it was a journey of self-discovery, In the actual short film, I want to sue that mysterious person as he had access to Julie's shower stall's mirror or home. There were many acts in the movie, If repeated in real life can get you in legal trouble to create public disturbance, unauthorized access, and much more.
