My Actifit Report Card: November 10 2022 - We are alive challenge in the night - IAAC #200

A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit.

The first lights of dawn this morning illuminate gray clouds in the sky of the city. A classic autumn landscape that I was no longer used to seeing.

I spent most of the day studying public administration subjects such as public law, procurement procedures and transparency and privacy laws.

As the sun was about to set, I put on my sneakers and walked towards Naples for an evening edition of #iamalivechallenge. In the picture I am in Piazza Dante where I celebrate the stage number 200, the second milestone of the "We are #alive tribe" contest.

After having made the ritual selfie I enter the heart of the city through the stupendous passage of Port'Alba had built by the viceroy of Toledo that is the most beautiful seventeenth-century building gate ever made in Europe.

Here gather, in the many book shops in the area, all Neapolitan students to buy their textbooks for the school year. Here you can find the oldest Neapolitan pizzeria and the bookstore Guida patrimonio culturale italiana.

Arrived in Piazza Bellini I take a wonderful picture of the Neapolitan square for my report of Actifit.

I immediately notice an obvious bright spot that looks like a flying object that I had not seen while I was taking the photo but that remained clearly immortalized. Maybe it’s an airliner.

After the moment of excitement for having seen my first UFO since I was born, I set out on the legendary Via di San Biagio dei librai and, halfway through, I enter a place that for the Neapolitans is a pride and destination of a real pilgrimage that takes place during the Christmas period.

Here is Via San Gregorio Armeno where the artisan workshops of the masters of the Neapolitan crib are located where you can buy the famous shepherds fruit of a painstaking artistic work.

Among the classic characters of the crib there are also statues of famous contemporary characters.

Here you can see the president of the Campania region, Vincenzo de Luca, reproduced holding the flamethrower in memory of the defense of the region from the coronavirus. In fact, even if the pandemic has devastated Naples, Campania has been the region of Italy that has suffered far less victims than all of Italy.

This cart is the emblem of the superstition of the Neapolitans. A real monument to how, even today, the Neapolitans are fascinated by beliefs and dark rites.

In celebrating this rite of pilgrimage in my ritual stage of iamalivechallenge, today, I enjoyed very much. This year I have anticipated it a lot because coming to these Vikings, during the Christmas period, becomes a difficult task.

In fact this place in December is very crowded and you walk very slowly making your way among thousands of tourists, curious and faithful.

After my pilgrimage I leave in front of the notorious district of Forcella where, at its entrance, the Neapolitan street artist with Dutch blood Jorit has drawn a spectacular mural of "San Gennaro" with the face of a worker.

Many think that it depicts a member of a Camorra organization rooted in the district of Forcella that tried to counter and eradicate the organized underworld. It is said that the artist argues that similarity is pure chance.

I must admit that if I wanted to do a stage number 200 intriguing, interesting and abundant on purpose I would never have managed so well. But, in the end, even though I only did 12k of steps I am very satisfied with the exercise.
