[Steem talk] Double posted? Fix it!

So, I was actually spending time compiling my post in #tasteem, note that I'm really spending time to describe food, talk about environment, telling my reader what's good to look at in a restaurant, because eating good food is my passion. And shit went wrong when I finished compiling.

It's shit isn't it? I know dApp can have error sometimes. Sometimes it's not even their fault, may be there's a glitch at the blockchain, may be some server is doing a playback and causes a temporary instability at the network. But, the hell with the article we spent time composed? And therefore, I started to see people lose their cool and start to write rubbish post. Another live example was yesterday. It was actually Saturday evening I have compiled my workout post, as soon as I publish it, it stays on the condenser and didn't show in Steem. I have tried twice, deleted the first video and reupload again, and still the same not posting in steem. In the end I thought find, so I user #sportstalksocial to make a post, back link it to my video page and never look back for upvote.

And little did I know, after I made that post about my workout, suddenly the video upload from Saturday night came to live and bam! Posted on Steem blockchain. Crap, now I have two identical post on my blog! I could have take the easy way out, remove the content on 1 of the post and leave a message something like duplicated post, content has been deleted. But I choose to do another full write up, which took me another hour to compile it. Fortunately, I have other photos I have taken during my morning exercise. Note the permalink was what I originally named after this post, to back link a video.

Here's the post that I have uploaded the day before, suddenly came posted on steem blockchain. Once again, I believe it has to do with my revoke of authority. I believe I did not sign in properly, but as soon as I reauthorize 3speak, then the video got automatically posted on Steem.

As a result, the blog post for the day went all upside down. Friends started to ask me why would I make so many posts in a day. I did not purposely do it, I usually only do 2 posts a day. 1 of them must be a video post because I'm hosting #fitness2020 event. If I can't commit to my own program, how can I expect anyone else to join me? So, it's more of a discipline. Just because I changed the content so drastically, my friends doesn't even realized those are actually double post. I choose to fix it, rather than leave it open an ugly entry that has a comment of "deleted due to double posted".

It will certainly feel uneasy when you upvoted someone, and that someone suddenly changed their content to "deleted". Same goes to yourself, when you make a mistake, you delete the content to protect yourself from having two similar content posts, it doesn't feel good when others unvote you. It just felt so wasted because the amount of voting power and RC has been spent, why take it back?
