Steps On How To Fry Plantain

Frying plantain is simple. It is one of the easiest meals to make.

Ingredients

  • Fryer
  • Vegetable oil
  • Plantain

Clean the ripe plantain and remove the peel. How ripe the plantain is would determine the texture and softness of the plantain. Get your plantain and keep it away from sunlight so it can ripen up properly without sun burns.

I prefer using blunt knives so I don't hurt myself cutting. So be careful while cutting plantain as the knife cuts through easily.

Do not cut your plantain too thin. Make it fleshy else your plantain could come out crisp.

Sprinkle some salt on thr plantain. A pinch is enough. Although when I fry I do not add salt. Sometimes I add it with seasoning cubes just for fancy and to add an extra sweetening taste.

Flip from time to time. Fry till its golden. Never let your plantain go black.

Here's the result of the first batch. Do not put everything into the oil. Do it batch by batch so the oil can cook the plantain properly.
