AAA Movie Review: Anna (2019), Luc Besson's Action Thriller Movie

Luc Besson’s action thriller movie "Anna" this year is such a weird. Even if it is full of commercial items, this movie still contains a high-level topic, which is freedom. In this commercialized society, it is easy to talk about fame and fortune. In the era of highly socialized networks, everyone is woven into a tangible and invisible network. It is only in the form of a movie that can create dreams, where we can still breathe free air.

The film story is very simple. It is about a Russian girl Anna who fell into a difficult life after a car accident in her parents. She was recruited into the KGB (Soviet National Security Council) for applying to join the naval forces. She was caught by the CIA in one operation. However, the KGB's second-hand is not a simple person. He noticed that Anna had been rebelled, so he would count on it, and used Anna to kill the KGB's top leader. Finally, Anna regained her freedom through her own efforts. By the end of the last minute of the movie, you might think that this is a romance movie wrapped in a spy warfare theme and a supermodel theme. However, it was not until Anna met with his two intelligence chiefs that they completed the reversal of the entire film.

Now there is another man in front of her. He shot her boyfriend and told her that he can give her freedom, but Anna gave up because she knows that men can't take it seriously. Then she picked up the knife on the table and stroke it on the wrist. When the dripping blood flowed to the ground, Anna’s desire to survive regained consciousness. She grabbed the wound and promised to join the KGB.

Finally, the film has completed a set of survival dilemmas. In order to survive, you must give up freedom. This kind of dilemma is exactly what this film has always emphasized. This survival dilemma has become too much beyond the range that the audiences can understand. When Anna was arrested and rebelled by Miller, the head of the CIA, everything seemed to be getting better.
