LeoMarketing: Youtube Is The Suggestion Engine That Works!

For the past couple of weeks I've been thinking from a marketers perspective about @leofinance. Helping to grow the platform organically is where I feel like I can lend a hand based on my experience.

Youtube is a sore subject for a lot of creators but it is the worlds largest suggestion engine and 2nd largest search engine. The type of people who will ultimately benefit from being part of @leofinance are hanging out on Youtube in some way shape or form.

I've written about Youtube before so I won't bore you with the details here. What I want to point out is a new feautre I noticed when browsing Youtube this morning.

In short, once you search for something on Youtube you begin to build (youtube manipulating you) and echo chamber. Over time you will be suggested content that Youtube feels you will like.

I've been searching for Hive and Leofinance on youtube for the past 2 weeks. I've been slowing introduced to other cryptos and new people (for me) that talk about crypto.

If you look at the picture above you will see that some ethereum prediction video was suggested to me. When I hovered over the video a grey popup flashed and the message "Trevon James viewers also watch the Channel"

Two things happened here. First, the pop up when you hover a video on your homepage is totally new. It's proof that youtube is actively suggesting content to you. And now, they are telling you why the are doing it.

Next, I had watched a couple of Trevon James old videos on steem last week and Youtube now thinks I would like more similar material and suggested this ElloTrades Crypto clown. (That's good for us)

What this whole thing means is that I am now in that echo chamber I have talked about before. Youtube is serving me content about crypto. I also get served old videos from the Official LeoFinance Youtube Channel

From a marketing perspective, this is very important and why I spend so much time telling the community to support our Youtube Channel.

The LeoFinance Youtube Videos will begin to be served as suggested content for people looking up Crypto content. We need more videos and activity before Youtube takes a chance on us being an authoritative channel but it is up to us to make that happen.

Youtube will do a lot of marketing work for us if we let it!
